So I've picked up Scout and I'm working towards Master Ranger. While I'm out and about shooting and skinning things, I also search lairs. I have quite a nice egg collection thus far. I was going to throw them on the bazaar when it dawned on me... How much is an egg worth?
So Chefs, please tell me... How much is one egg worth?
Thanks.

From my humble opinion, it depends on two things. Statistics and lot size.
I myself also collect eggs in my travels. Even while on the bazaar, I find lots of 11 or 15 for 50-100 credits which I scoop up and add to my colection.

A b.e. uses eggs, they are not in any chef schamatics. A common misconception folks have about chef. I get em offered to my chef vendor all the time.

1 egg on its own isnt worth a penny
IIRC the smallest stack of eggs to be useful would be 15, and they need to have high OQ/PE/FL
Although they're difficult to get they may not be worth as much as you think since they're used in very few schematics and not the popular ones...
Anything more is very server dependant

I'd say you need a stack of at least a couple hundred before it's worth anything, and after that, even though they are time consuming to gather, they really aren't worth all that much. Maybe 10cpu-20cpu for high quality (oq + pe + flavor) eggs and less for others. With eggs you unfortunately have a situation where the hunter is reluctant to part with them cheaply because of the effort and the fact that large stacks are rare, and the bio engineer is reluctant to buy them for much because they only go into one not-so-popular product that is difficult to charge a king's ransom for that would justify the effort of collecting the eggs.

This is a question that nobody can really answer, as prices on the various servers vary far too much. You'd probably be better off asking on your server forum or server trade forum, as then the local economy can be taken into effect.

On Chimaera I will buy stacks of 300 eggs at 10-20cpu depending on whether they have decent stats or not. We need OQ+PE+FL to be over 2000 before I call it decent.
Poor quality eggs are useable, but mean I have to use higher quality ingredients to pull the 'numbers' up

Considering you only really need a +13 bonus on the tissues, high quality eggs aren't such a big deal, so much as medium-quality (PE+FL+OQ>1400) in large stacks. Mid-quality eggs are enough to get the +13, especially if you make up for it all with higher quality materials that are easier to get. Since most dresses and clothing that are popular for the entertainer tissues have more than one tissue slot, the +13 bonus is all that's needed to reach the +25 cap.
Personally, I always have a rough time getting eggs (on Tempest), but I'm willing to pay 10-20cpu for a stack of at least 300+. If I haven't had any in a while, I'll probably pay even more if they're high quality.

I pay 50-100cpu for eggs myself just to encourage my hunters to actually gather them while getting me meat. They're not that huge a cost since they rarely come in stacks of more than 100 and I'm constantly scrounging bazaars for cheap eggs. Lol, I have 1 and 1/2 backpacks in storage full of small stacks of eggs that I keep adding to until 1 stack finally gets above 500.

So, 10 per?
I'm just looking for a price per unit on the average.
What is a fair price?
Thanks for the responses so far.

We can still use them, however! We can substitue eggs for meat. We just don't NEED them.
And since we don't need them, I never pay more than 5cpu for them, just because they are never that great, stat-wise, and I can never really get enough together for a factory run of an item.
But if someone dropped 1k eggs on my doorstep, I wouldn't turn them away! But I would tell them to find a BE first, since they will get more money from them than from me.
