Thread: is it just me??
I mean I went to a place and got some Bull rancor DNA, I than proceeded to try and create something using a single bit of that DNA to help with the Physical on the creation....so what i got was a very starnage Template.
The Stats where way off, nothing caried over correctly.
The template implied I would have a real low Physical and a very high mental very odd indeed.
When I did create the Creature, I got even more strange results, not even coming close to what the template said.
The Hams where only moderatly high, and the Creature level was way over the top.
So anywise...I dont recall things giving random stats this bad....
So is it just me or are other people suffering from this?
Heck I tried to outfit creatures with stun and dizzy strike and I got Knock down Instead???
Where the heck did that come from???
These where all on Dewbacks Mind you....that i tried to make.
I did happen to have an old template I made from before the patch fix...and it created a level 71 Dewback...lol
So anywise....I find I cant make level 10 or below things anymore since everytime I try I get 12 or higher....
And thats when I use real low level DNA even.
So is it just me?
Have I lost a screw or something using my Master Skills?
I can still make real bogus high level things...but low level and trying to control the stats...??????
I cant seam to do much but play russian roulette with creature creation now.
So anyone else have these problems?

Hmm, many of usMusicians have complained about this, but the usual proposed remedy is to add entertainer quests, not to remove the ability to convert entertaining XP to FS XP. OK, new quests are not likely to happen. But, speaking only for myself, I'd rather have half a loaf than none. The downside is that it encourages AFKing, but do we really know that many people who have dropped combat professions in order to grind Musician or Dancer for JedI? Besides, the devs aresupposed to be removing AFK'ing, right? Er, right? (hears an echo) Guys? Devs? You're still with us on that one, right?
By way of analogy: I sure like being able to convert my Politician XP to FS XP, and I get no quests for that. I've almost filled my Senses box solely with Politician XP. In fact, I expect to make Novice Force Senses this week, after my next election. I can live with the fact that I get no opportunity to shake hands and kiss babies to unlock a Senses branch.

I am very sorry to hear that, Fainora. I've seen quite a fewdoctorsin the cantinas latelywho have dropped their combat prof to AFK dance up some xp while they sleep.

I don't begrudge those entertainers who have professions with quests in the village. But if they have professions with village quests, they also have another means of getting the xp to convert to FS xp.

I understand where y'all are coming from. But, don't forget that you may be screwing over some real entertainers in the process should this ever happen. Yes, the afk grind sucks, you all know I agree with you there. But, there are some entertainers who are using this as an opportunity to do a whole lot of dancing and music playing, a whole lot of doing the profession they love on their path to Jedi or simply opening a second character slot.

But, that's not the point.
Ok...I have a confession to make. Everybody found out this weekend anyway because Phase IV of the village has to be a group activity. But, for 10 weeks now, I've been Force Sensitive. And, considering I don't even know if I'll be playing beyond next week it doesn't really matter if anybody knows. I was keeping it a secret for RP purposes.
But, yes, I couldn't do Phase I because I was not going to ruin my template to make Master Medic. But, I did do the senses quests for Phases II-IV. I had to drop some extraneous skills, but I got to keep my 3 Master titles while I picked up Novice Artisan for 2 phases, and Novice Medic this week.
At any rate, the reason I specifically chose to go pursue a second slot (possible dancing Jedi on Drygo), was so that I could go up 3 entire trees of Force Sensitive experience by dancing. Of course, the new dance quests have thrown a bit of a kink into this. But, that's not part of this discussion.
Point is, I *wanted* to be able to spend as much time dancing as possible while trying to get that second slot, which I planned to make into a master musician. I don't bot, I don't afk except maybe to take a shower or something. But, I wanted to still dance, enjoy the Cantina, be available to heal and give buffsas needed. All while still pursuing Force Sensitivity. My only other choice was to grind 6 entire lines of combat using TK. As much as I love TK, YUCK! That would just suck and would have meant I could *never* spend any time dancing and doing what I enjoy the most in this game. I would much prefer them stick in an entertainer quest (which they should have done!!), rather than take away this opportunity for me to spend a whole lot oftime (like 3 years at my rate!) doing what I love doing.
Gah! If people try to take that away from me and all the other real entertainers out there pursuing force sensitivity, I am gonna scream! Seriously. Think about this request and how unfair something like this would be for those of us out there who want to be able to participate in this type of game content and do so while enjoying what we do best. What you're suggesting is just another reason to encourage live entertainers to stay out of the Cantinas. As much as I don't like afk, I don't think it's a fair trade off. Now, if these were buffbots, I *might* agree with you.
