Thread: Need Non-Abbreviated Guide For CL10/12 Pet With 6-8k HAM

I've looked through the FAQ up top that deals with basics of Creature Creation, but am still confused about how to create a CL10/12 pet with over 6k HAM and 60% Kinetic. I've looked through many posts, but end up being more confused because everything is abbreviated - especially the creature names, and very often the generational sampling is not described. And I'm also confused as to whether we are not supposed to experiment very much when making these. Also, some of the recipes don't work anymore. A current working recipe would be greatly appreciated.

So can someone explain the process without using only abbreviations? What creatures do I use? How much do I experiment with each template? What DNA do I use in subsequent generation templates? What stats am I trying to maximize or minimize?

And if I've missed a good guide to this (not the basics, but specifically for generation sampling a CL10/12 pet with high HAM and 60% Kinetic in non-abbreviated terms), please reply with a link.

There is a recipe for such creatures in the Recipes thread but there is no official guide written because these pets are results of bugs in the system and are not intended to exist - they will be 'fixed' (eventually)

and you'd be well served to learn the common abbreviations and play around with some multi gen pets before attempting anything like this. BE isnt like other crafters in that all you need is a recipe and you can always do it. It takes intution and a keen understanding of the ins and outs of the rather meticulous process =)

But droid327, that's my point. Everyone just uses the abbreviations. How does one figure out the abbreviations if everyone else just uses them? It's the same thing with generational sampling. I know it's a lot of tinkering, but it would be helpful to get some hints or guidelines rather than hearing you say essentially "you have to figure it all out on your own".

For example:

1) Huurton pups and merek harvesters seem special for some reason. I think HP's are special because they are lowest level possible, but what is so special about MH's?

2) When generational sampling occurs, why is the previous generation placed in the Agg and Psych slots? What is special about these slots?

1. Merek Harvesters have 75% Energy Resists /drool, which is far enough over the 60% BE cap to make them very useful if you need to mix in specials from something with a lower kinetic value, they're also useful in making the pet you seek

2. They dont always go in aggression and psych, but aggression and psych affect the creature specials so if your first gen was focused on getting the special attacks you wanted you would use them in psych and agression and use Resists and HAM DNA in the other 3 slots.

Of course I did, but sometimes new people are easily confused.
