Do you need to be logged on for your pet to grow, and also can it be in datapad and grow?

pet will grow just as fast in datapad as out fighting, only thing I have found that matters is amount of time you own the pet.. (Looks like about 24hrs per growth spurt)

Well pet growth really depends on the creature. I currently have a mountain dewback, he is growing every 12h (getting +1000hp and better damage). I had a bull ronto before and he didnt grow up in 12h, I don't know how long it would take for a bull ronto because I did not keep him...

What skill level were you at when you tamed your Dewback?

Well my dewback is now fully grown, took him about 72h.

Well I don't see why it would be a bug... the first time it grew up was 12h after I tamed it... he got from 500hp to 1000... 12h later 1000 to 2000 another 12h later 2000 to 3000, then it seems it took a bit more time for the last two stages (3000 to 4000 and 4000 to5000)about 18h each. 12 + 12 + 12 + 18 + 18 = 72

I am a human novice Creature Handler and have two pets.

My baby krahbu grows every 24 hours like everyone says (He's grown twice now). But my baby grand wrix just grew tonight after 12 hours. I've had my krabhu out for killing but I run around town with my wrix.

So, I'm not sure what exactly determines their growth rate. Perhaps it's dependent on animal type, or maybe it's just random good luck.

Maybe there are certain server ticks on certain time intervalls (like every 12 hours, or 24 hours). Every tick, the server checks for all existing pets, and adds +1 to the pet growth. Increasing their hp and damage by the approbiate instance.

I had 25 min on my PC as a CH and tamed a Dew, so guess first box is the answer, took two attemps, but now I have a crying baby dew, that wants to eat all the time, what a pain <just kiding> he does cry alot, and does want to eat and play all the time

I thought I read somewhere that growth is affected by how much time you have them out of the datapad. Im not sure but I think it was in the game manual. If I remember correctly, they billed it like a reward for actually using the creature.

Im not on right now so I cant go snooping around ... how do you check to see if its grown? Is it something on the datapad info?

I don't know, I havent been using my ronto, but hes been growing inside the datapad. First tick at 12 hours, waiting for second later tonight.
