My first profession when the game launched was CH but I took BE a couple weeks after. I stayed MCH/MBE until I decided start the dreadful holo grind.
I guess my most memorable moment being a BE was the the first few days of being a BE. I headed to Theed and was just in front of the Starport where you will find tons of low level pets. There were low level toons grinding there and couldn't figure out how I was killing all of the animals without firing a gun or hitting them. lol

Hitting master, and the same day being asked to make a pet and not really having ANY idea as to how to go about it.

Sounds exactly like my history
I kept struggling forward and backward though, now having the 4th character being Bio Engineer yet again.
One of the things i will surely remember forever was the first pet I made being<CL30 with Light Armor - never having read a Guide on BE or anything. And then I struggled for weeks to manage the same again, failing dozens of times until I got it again. Those pets were my company for a long time and I will remember every day for sure.

I spent a week on Endor...it was just Merek DNA, and lots of it. Once I had to leave to fix up BF.
Some mantigrue also, but mostly Merek stuff anyways.
It took a looong time, I probably made a 15th+ generation pet, but eventually I came out with a level 34 Merek that was on par with most 40s that one found....even the great Lantyssa said so

I never Mastered BE, but I did try it a couple times. The first time (pre-CU) I was able to successfully extract DNA from a Rancor and the Rancor did not die or attack me elicited a great sense of accomplishment and cry of triumph!

During the time when BEs were making the uber lvl10 pets, I was really happy when i figured out how to make them lvl10 with 9k health and 300 MIN damage.
But my biggest and most memorable day, was the day I read that BE was being removed from the game.

I remember the adrenaline rush I got when stalking bull rancors to get DNA samples. Without armor. Without weapons. Without any combat skill. With less than maxed out mask scent (not camouflage.) There is no greater thrill in SWG in my opinion, and i will mourn the end of my adrenaline junkie days.

There are lots of great memories. Probably the best involves my favourite location in the game: Fort Tusken. In a way the fate of the Fort mirrored that of the whole game after CU. In the old game the place was always packed with people. Firstly because you could grind there; all nine buffs and a decent suit of composite made you more or less untouchable and most of the Tuskens gave useful XP. Also because you could have fun; going without buffs or armour was enough of a challenge to keep you on your toes without being impossible. One of the great things about the old combat system was the way each hit was random. If a Warlord got a lucky shot at the exact moment your Centre of Being macro dropped, you were in trouble.
One day I was there taking on the Tuskens and the above scenario did indeed arise. A Warlord hit me for some insane amount of damage and down I went. He wandered over ready to perform the coup de grâce ... and my personal bodyguard went right for his throat and tanked him for the 120 seconds I lay incapped. My own creation had saved my life.

For me it was after hitting master. At that time we couldn't get many things we needed like shellfish so I went uot to sample mutant rancors. I spent most of the afternoon sampling and dieing rinse and repeating
Well I miss BioE and will miss the forum be well all and to those that stick it out in the new system wear your BioE tags with pride!!!!!

My first Mutant Rancor DNA comes to mind. I'm saddened that there are no BE in SWG anymore. It's stupid to cancel a profession because only 1% is playing it. the way I see it those 1% dudes are die hard fans of that profession and deserves a reward for that, not cancellation. The best way to describe BE's attitude is always seen in correspondents signature: "RACE YOU TO THE CLONER!" But I ramble off topic here. First succesful Mutant Rancor DNA sample. /sigh

y'all this is first post ive ever made on the forums (no i aint no noob, im lvl 80 been around halfa year, thank you), andi godda give it out to yall BE's out there. yall really seemed to love your profession with a passion that us combat cronies will never understand, and i guess its our fault for bitching for a new combat system. I take my hat off to all BE's and CH's out there. good luck with the new professions, if youll still be around.
Much sincerity,

My most memorable moment goes it a bit like this. My primary acct was for pvp. I had a second acct that was to get away from pvp and take the game less tense. I was working on CH and various prof, not sure what I wanted to add to CH, I had some SL for pet grouping. A friend that was BH, Pistols, Smuggler and Commando suggested I take some BE so we could take down bases. This is when the planetary base bombing was going on and messing up creature spawns. I came to the BE forums to read up on base takedowns and started browsing all the posts.
I think coming to the BE forums is what is the most memorable for me. It was such a change for BH forum. All the helpful posts and the community kept me coming back even though I was just in it for base busting. I think Lloydwright had MBE/CH/Ranger 0030 in his sig and that kind of became my goal. My BE is now and has been my primary acct for sometime.
I will cancel my other acct and and go back to pvping while wearing my field scientist tag.
