Sorry i'm insulted at some CH thinking they can buy a mass amount of Pets from me for 1,000c a head.

any one here had the same problem. its 2 days work for a CH and they will selll it at something like 80k a mount. i don't blame them tbh but i don't want to get like a 0.80% proffit from the final sale.

when a CH asked me if i could make a bulk order of Spats and kaddu im thinking to myself humm sounds to good to be true. and i give him a price. 28k each or 5 at 10k, 10 at 80k or20 120k

kind of good prices i would think, he wants them at 1k each, **edit** if he wants them at 1000 each he better have a BIG inventory. thats kind of insulting tbh

The insulting thing is that kaadu are a novice item, so there's probably a novice BE somewhere who will sell them for that. Carrion spats, while ugly, take more resources and skillso probably wouldn't go as cheap.

28 K for a kaadu? I think that as bad as 1k. Because of anothers greed you want your own slice of it? <sighs> The mounts will not change my prices. I do not plan on mass producing them and most likley though mount pets will go through PA CH's since all the low end pets I give the PA anyway.

I agree that asking anyone to pay 28k for a kaadu is completely insane. Why would anyone pay that?

I am shocked to think that you would think that it is reasonable. You deserve to have people offer you 1k per creature so long as you have the gall to suggest that they are worth such high prices. I sell kaadu for 3k each and I'm a master as well. I sell all of my pets based on the cost to me. I am also a CH, and will be selling fully trained and grown mounts of all kinds for only a fraction more than I would have charged for the regular creature... My kaadu mounts will sell for 5k each. Why not? What do I need that much money for? I go to Dathomir and get 20k a mission DNA sampling Bolmas. What, then, gives me the right to suck the world dry of their credits by charging 80k for a trained kaadu mount?

I will sell my mounts for 5-10k fully trained as well (made with marginal to good supplies/samples) ..... but I WILL NOT SELL THEM UNTRAINED TO OTHER CH'S to markup to 20-30k (or god knows how much) for 1-3k. They did not do the work ... i did ... they did not grind for hours upon hours or days upon days on Micronoots ...they got to lvl a number of different ways .. beit from combat or from taming tons of mobs ... they did not "GRIND" they explored, and they will not make money off of my efforts.

I'm really tired of seeing all the BEs who DO sell these critters for sale for 1-3k each.

It hurts the other BEs. It hurts CHs who sell tamed pets. And it doesn't help the people selling them because they could make far more money doing other things.

Nonetheless, if you can't beat em then join em. No...I don't mean start selling for 1k. I mean BUY them all at 1k & mark them up yourselves. I started making Kaads & Spats in preperation for the mount patch, but it got old really quick. I could have made a few 100k credits doing missions in that time. So instead I started buying up the junk kaadus on the bazaar at 1k each & put in an order with a n00b to buy a couple dozen more at 800cr each. I'll mark them up to 15-30k each, and will likely sell them for 30-60k each trained during the first week of mount-release. The player mass-producing junk will quickly get bored, and after a couple weeks, players will get tired of junk mounts & start paying a premium for well-made ones with higher HAMs.

I've been making Kaadu out of all my DNA samples from day one of BE (which wasn't long ago). I plan on selling them for 5k to my PA mates and 8k to others. We have many CH in my PA, so finding a trainer for free won't be an issue for them.

Are CH planning on reaming everyone on the training charges?

Reaming? reaming is such a impolite term....i prefer to think of it as uninvited violent backside intrusion. Ive been laughed at for quoting 30K for a GSP that i tamed, trained, cared for and used for a long time and a guy wanted to buy at a starport. I was mocked for quoting 50k for a grual mauler that i was using on a regular basis, but somebody thought i would just drop all and sellim. I have had mixed responses for selling mereks for 40 to 60k. They can kiss my butt. Im taming mounts for my guildmates, my wifes a Bio Engineer, if players want mounts after im done supplying my buds they can deal with my inflated prices or go somewhere else, dont like the price? charge less, hell charge at a loss I could give a flying hamsters tucas to be honest. 5k or even 10k for kadus, i can make more money in less time doing missions solo with my pets, if i dont sell any pets whoopdy crap i sure as hell wont waste my time losing money, but i will spend 30 minutes for a player if he wants to plunk down the 50k for a carrion spat or dewback.

I think 50k is peanuts for a Graul. When you tame, train and grow a pet, yea, you've got every right to charge a bundle. I'd give my left arm AND every penny I had for a Rancor.. ora Graul even. (I can't use one, so don't try and sell one to me )

I'm just wondering if CHs are going to be charging of 15k to tame a pet someone already has. I'm saying, if MrWookles comes up to you with his pet Kaadu (which I sold him) and says "can you train this as a mount for me?" how much are you going to charge?

You're not providing a good, you're providing a service... tips, or 1-3k would seem reasonable for such a service.

I'm not a moron... my Alt is a CH. I know what it takes for a full grown pet.

Supply and Demand.

Sure, CHs want to buy mounts in bulk for 1k each. They probably do no trealize you have to go out and get 5 DNA samples for every creature and these are not something you can manufacture in your Food Chen facotry.

Yes, some novice bio-engineers will go sample Durnis and Gnorts and make crappy mounts and sell them for 1k. Not a problem. Number 1 they will be sucky mounts and most people will learn to tell the difference the firs ttime they have to use their mount to tank for them in a pinch. Number 2 they will not be able to keep up with the demand they will have if it gets around they are selling mounts for 1k each.

Every BE will hvae to set his own prices based on how much time he wants to spend of his daily playtime sampling DNA. If you decide you don;t want to spend more then 3 hours a dya sampling DNA to make creatures and say thats gets you enough DNA for 20 mounts then you should price your mounts so that it will take about 24 hours for them all to sell out at the price your are charging. If you are a Master BE making better quality mounts then you will have to charge more because more CHs will want to sell your mounts that they can get a higher price for. If you onlt charge 1K and jsut a couple CHs know about it then your 20 mounts will be gone from your vendor an hour after youput them there and then all the other CHs looking to buy mounts from you will think you are just always out of stock. If you charge 50k per mount you will never sell any and the CHs will jsut think you charge too much. You have to maintain a balance to maintain athriving mount cloning business such that CHs don;t think you charge too muchfor the qulaity you are selling and you always have some in stock for them when they need them.

Supply and Demand is a dynamic thing too so you will needto adjust your prices every day.

well maybe my 28k is a bit high for kaddu and maybe spat too

mabe i could sell

kaddu = 4k

spat = 6k

dewback = 8k

brackaset = 10k

Bol = 12k

flumpaset = 14k

dose that sound fair now ??? seens the meat and DNA resorces too, personly i make 5 pets then sample their DNA to produce pure DNA to use in makeing the pets i should use around 2 or 3 pets now though cos i hit master. but i feel the resorce cost and DNA cost (or what i feel fair it costs due to time & money spent to get it)

at this moment the bazzar on my galaxie sucks for Food resorces and i have to go out n get it all myself, this means runs out to the middile of noware with only stims, muon & wound packs to keep me alive. i have to clone also, then travle cos most meat in bulk is in the middle of noware. then i have to group up cos i lack the combat skills to SOLO like most of you CH out there who can SOLO 25k bolma missions on dath (Don't try say you don't cos every master CH i know goes out there to solo with two gruals, and BE can't make them)

so you CH make da bucks allready nowonder something like 57% of the whole SWG comunity are CH skilled, its like the best money skill in the game. i know a few CH millionares too that not only run 25k missions solo but also sell pets for a masive markup price from the norm.

BE should get a nice raw deal on it but we don't cos CH get to sell the end market to outher CH.

Personly I KNOW all the CH have CASH and i will mark up prices cos CH have the money to spend so all you guys there saying its unfair to makr prices that high think about what a CH is doning most days to make the bloody money in the firstplace. THEY HAVE THE MONEY TO SPEND ON THE BLOODY CREATURES SO LET THEM SPEND IT.

Put my first batch of mounts on the vendor yesterday. It was only a few. All marked at 20k to 30k.

Empty today.

So won't see me selling mounts (even the lowly kaadu) for the cost of a stim pack.
