Thread: Mutant Rancor Combines

There's been a number of posts recentlyrequesting "sure fire" CL 70 combos. For some reason people seem reluctant to do trial and error with MR dna samples. I wonder why? Well anyhow, I did a couple of combines with them, and have documented the results. Nothing I'm particularly proud of, but I'm still working on it

The most useful thing I think to take out of this is looking at the DNA template stats and seeing how that maps to CL. Armed with this information, you can do your own combine, and have a pretty good feel for how much you can experiment without going over CL 70.

I think it's a real shame BE's aren't able to experiment things down as well as up. There have been many times when I've just known I've gone one too far when the stat jumps a lot more than I thought it should.

We're about the only crafting school that would want to do this though, so I guess it won't happen in my SWG lifetime

hmmmmm,

MR-PG-MR-PG-MR = 68 to 70 depending on Quality Samples used and you can use ALL 10 Experiment points and I don't believe it'll go to cl71.

Oh, (PG) is Prowling Gurreck cl45 65% Kinetic-65% Energy (on Endor in Mountains )

MR-YMPW-MR-YMPW-MR = 67 to 77 , be Very careful you'll only need to use 1 to 3 Experiment points to hit cl70 if you experiment Damage. You "probably" could use upto 5 if you do HAM only.

(YMPW) is Young Malkloc Plainswalker cl55 ( on Dathomir in Southern Plains and by the WesternLake in Rancor Territory )

I came sooooooo close to making a doomsday pet today, close enough to encourage me to try it a few more times.

I used:

MR, MR, FG, FG, MR

MR = Mutant Rancor, FG = Frenzied Graul

I didn't take note of sample quality for each one, but I'm pretty sure all the samples except maybe 1 was VHQ.

The end result pet had 59 kinetic, 50 energy, and the other resists were really good to (I didn't write them all down, but they were decent). What was of particular interest was the ham and damage. It had 14k ham, and 590-600 attack. The final combine came out to CL 71 though. In my book, thats close enough to warrent another try, I'm sure that with a smigeon less experimenting I can get it to CL 70.

I put points into health, damage and a bit into psychology or whatever its called. I think I had 3 points left over.

I can get 60 or 65 kinetic, 45-60 energy pretty much every time if I am picky on my tissues, but your 590-600 attack is incredible. I think my best is 510 at CL69.

Pahbi,

That sounds like a first rate combo. You wouldn't happen to have the template stats on that would you?

No, I really didn't take good notes, I wasn't expecting anything like how it turned out.

I know the fortitude was over 800 and the power was over 700 after all the experimentation. I should have stopped there, but then I threw a point into mental and a point into psychology. bleh

I'd like to draw your attention between the fortitude stat and the CL rating. For a first generation clone this is typical as the fortitude is usually very close to the CL for mobs with light armor.

naft: 60 is the limit on kinetic/energy resist

pahbi that's a freakin nice pet...... a good trick you can try is, if you have a droid, go to a public crafting station, bring out your droid, experiment a little, then put him away and experiment the last few that you don't want to go too high (public crafting stations aren't nearly as good as crafting droids with 100% crafting stations installed)...... that way on the last few stats, then won't go too high

if you don't have a droid, i reccomend getting a droid with storage and a 100%food/chem crafting station

I got one of those medical 110% droids. Well the guy told me it was a 110% droid, who knows if he was pulling my leg or not.

I do all my combines with the droid though. On a typical outting I get a bunch of dna, then throw up a ranger outpost (has a public chemical crafting station) then I put on my mad scientist outfit, and start working on the dna.

Its really quite posh.

I've actually made quite a few sales from my tent as people wander by to see whats going on.
