a bank tip will have proper caps name = Han Solo email = Han Solo

problem comes if name = han solo email = han solo no way to tell if its fake.

only a couple people have no caps in their names tho.

If the persons name doesn't have a capital letter then neither will the email from the bank tip. I've seen several people runing around without a capitalized name.

LMAO! Good idea!

P.S. I can confirm that fake bank emails have lower case player names as the sender... real ones have capitalised names.

yep there are afew people on the server im on with all their name in lower case, since i read about the fake bank tips just tell people that i do not allow people to pay my in this way and they must actually tip me the cash, afew people have asked why and i have told them and they could not believe some people were so lame and then got the cash form the bank and paid me, afew people have just said that they dont want buffing then (did not ask why i would not accpet a bank tip though) hmm i cant think why

do the best way to get round it.. dont allow people to bank tip u

anyone else have a problem with people sending u fake bank tips?

its really not that hard to do if u have half a brain.

And i believe all the fake ones start with a lower case name in the sender box, all reals start with caps. There has to be a better way to keep people from fake bank tipping you, without having to hassel them to pay.

2 times today already ive got "lower case" bank tips.

am i wrong about real bank tips always being capitalized?

i dunno just annoying

this has already been told to us

basically if the name is all lower case in the email it's a fake.

The devs are aware of this, and are dissapointed that people are doing it.

I'd expect some kind of change to system email or some other fix to this. Please do report people that are doing it.

instead of an email why not send a system message.

OK, it use to be that you got a system message AND an email when someone bank tipped you. Why they took out the system message is beyond me.

I sold a nonCH bantha to a guy for 10k. He bank tipped me for the money, but I wasn't sure how much money I had so I'm not entirely sure if I got paid or not. All I got was an email. I've noticed that people are quick to bank tip these days, and I'd hate to just confescate the money just because I can't confirm that it was paid. Is there any way to distinguish a real bank tip from a fake one? I don't want to have to worry about keeping a running balance of my bank account at all times.
