That's the long and short of it. We did get pet stims though. Erm, that's a good thing. Honest.

Two pluses from this patch: Pet stims appear in our Tissues line. These are made like regular stim packs and I think CHs will be after them. Also pets can now be used by non-CHs, so there is now a larger market for our creations, though they still have to pass through a CHs hands for taming and training.

So, of course there was nothing done because BE is in such bad shape, but we can count on the devs to continue to coddle Creature Handlers and we will get some collateral benefits off of changes they make in favor of CHs.

That's it! Don't post in OUR forums how our pets should be better . . . .

Post in the CH forum! That way we might get some results! Oh. . . it all makes sense now. . .and maybe we can convince them that some of our tissue lines could help them out, gosh. Now if we can just get the good word on the pistoleer board to, who knows?

Ok, all bitter sarcasm aside, I think we should wait til we get our response from our rather involved list of problems. If they say, yes. A fix for your tissue line is due soon, we had a ton of things to do, and we're sorry we couldn't get to it sooner. Hey. I understand, that's ok. Yes the CH/BE economy is borked, let's see how the lack of babies affects things, then figure what works best for both professions. Wow, that's an ok idea I'd say. Ok, so I'm biased, mea culpa.

But I read the Commando forum and break out in a cold sweat.

I will accept the minor nerfs and the possibility of them fixing things in the future if they don't do to us what they have done to the Commandos.

Sifting through poop is a lot better than being told your Rocket Launcher is a close assault weapon.

I dont see anywhere that the pet stims are going live. Are you sure they put them in this patch?

Wouldn't be the first time something was put in without being in the patch notes. With the changes going in to incap on pets, I don't see anyreason why the meds to fix the pets wouldn't also go in. Just have to wait and see.

Just thought of something, maybe we should go post in the CH forums about our problems. THis way at the very least we can get a reply.

Then again we are known to be one of the least whiny classes and forums in the game for the sheer amount of brokenednessnes (tm) that we have. Frankly I am getting tired of waiting in silence, I still wonder what it takes for someone, anyone to throw us a bone.

Here ya go. Take a look.

~ Fixed a bug in XP calcs when sampling from creature deeds

~ Added range check at the end of sample time to prevent exploit

~ Can no longer sample from the rancor in the cage at Jabba's palace (funny)

~ Reduced xp rewards when sampling from deeds

~ Allowed Bio-Engineer to sample frm their own pets

~ Removed ability to sample from baby creatures

Well to me it sounds like we've been nerfed but... only good one is allowed to sample from own pets....... ?

IIRC, the pet stims thing was never added to the patch notes, it was announced on the CH forum in one of their updates. So, it's quite possible that it's still in for the patch.

With all pets recertified, it's possible that some of our bugged pets will now be tameable too. We should check as soon as we get in.

This is dissapointing. I was really hoping for some more feedback on tissues. I had my fingers crossed that they might even put in tissue descriptions so I knew what the hell it was I was making. Not only do the tissues I make only sell to one particular profession (eg constrictor cloth to tailors) which already cuts down the market massively, but it only appears to work in one particular crafted item (which I have forgotten). If someone comes up to my vendor and asks "what does this do" and I cant tell them, they aren't going to sell very fast are they P

So our list doesnt look very promising. And even confusing at some points. Allowed us to sample our own pets? I take it this means animals that either we have tamed or a CH has tamed for us. Well this is a bit daft, if I went and tamed an animal, or bought one from a CH, Im hardly going to kill the blasted thing by sampling it am I? And removed ability to sample from babies? Ive never been able to do this yet, and I see no reason why I shouldnt be able to sample a baby anyway. They have DNA dont they? DNA sampling can be tiresome enough, even at field scientist it seems to be totally dependant on luck when it comes to getting a sample, and it takes a lot of mind to make just one sample. Give us abreak, eh?
