I have not had a Crit Failure in over 500 pet creations
500 pets is 1000 combines and not a single Crit Failure

I am using a +15.00 Crafting tool
Using a +45.00 Private Crafting Station
In a Research City

Outside of the City using my Crafting Droid and +15 Tool I had 12 Crit Failures in 200 combines giving me a 6% Critfail rate

I hate you. I hate you so

Honestly though, I havenearly the same set up as you. The +15 crafting tool, Research City, and +42 personal crafting station and I still get quite a few experimental failures and crit fails on both experiment and assembly. The kicker is that for awhile a few weeks back I actually failed more when I was crafting in my work shop with all the above stuff than when I was out in the middle of no where just using my droid.

Ictus, there is a known variable besides your equipment.

It is BF. If you go into any crafting situation with any degree of BF at all, you increase your chances of getting a crit. I have read this and verified it for myself.

Dang! Never thought of that one!

That'll teach me for rushing back to the lab without seeing to the bruises first!

If you type in the command to advance through the crafting stages you won't experiance critical failures, I'm pretty sure the devs already know this, the BE corrispondant made referance to it but didn't say it outright.

BEs really shouldn't have as many crit failures as they do, especially with generation crafting 1 crit can screw you over big time.

SOE should just add "No Crits for related schematics" to every "Master" skill. Master Architects shouldn't crit-fail on their houses, Master Doctors shouldn't crit-fail on medicine crafting, Master BEs shouldn't crit-fail on pets, stims or tissues.

Amazing that players have to figure these things out for themselves. MOST games have some documentation.

MMOs rarely have documentation because it extends the playability as new things are discovered. This is also known as a tactic to extend the life time of what is actually a medicore game. What was it SWG got as a rating in the UK games magazine reviews on average? around 60% i think, looks like uk journalists have more integrity than the USA ones who can be bribed with Sony handouts.

Thank you so much for pointing out the BF Issue.. this explains my horrible failure rate today. i had well over 60 DNA collected on Dathomir ( Rancor Youth, Rancor, Kamurith Defilers, Gaping Spider Hunters ) all of them had light amor. I didnt get a single pet made with light armor, and had5 crit pet combines and LOTS of critical experimentation failures.
