The best xp I found was to join a really large Enraged Rancor hunting group. Do NOT use a little CL10 pet, though. For some reason, people using these got less xp than I did with my larger pets. They were only getting about 600 xp per enraged rancor. There might be some bug with non-CH pets giving reduced xp. /shrug

I got really good xp using a Bioengineered CL20 Dune Lizard. He has a ranged attack, which is nice, 20% kinetic resists, and a skewed 9k health bar. I was getting 1400 xp per enraged rancor, 6 per lair. When we'd have the Enraged Bull Rancors, those were 1580 xp, and there would be 6 of those plus 3 Enraged Rancors per lair.
Bull Rancors are bad b/c of the disease.

The fastest way to do this is not to be solo...b/c although you can kill quickly, you can't kill as quickly as a 15 person group that has 30 missions in teh same direction. I got 250k CH xp in two hours this way.

Was just wondering what techniques other ppl use to get up their crafting xp.

Working on blueprints my combination was

novice - mse's

tier 1 - r5's

tier 2 - advanced frame units

outa curiosity, are factories worth it xp wise? anyone check the time to material to xp ratio?

Hello fellow droid eng....i just became a DE last night and i was just wondering about grinding. when i was an artisan, i didnt do much grinding. i make bone armors and powerups for friends or gave them out for free. then once i got close to novice DE i started grinding like mad. i would sit by my factory and then grind tools and powerups till i got to droid eng. it took forever to get to 28k exp but now i have to get 48k just to get the 1st skill ! so...what do you guys do for exp ? what type of items do you grind ? any advise would be greatly appreciated

Weall basically follow the same "grind" path.

Blue 1 = Medical MSE's (approx 350 of them)

Blue 2 = R5's (these need 60 extrusive a piece ... you'll have to crank out about 60-70 they give approx 1000 a piece with med modules in them)

Blue 3 = The ONLY saving grace of the grind ...ADV Droid Frames ...they give 440 and require ONLY 2 types of material ...steel ..and Fiberplast (thats why you need it). Each needs 150 Steel and 70 Fiberplast.

Blue 4 = ADV Droid Frames ...

All other DE levels = ADV Droid frames ....

I don't know that it's "the best", but I did clothing crafting tools. Near the top of the list (no scrolling needed), only metal and chemical needed which I had a large stock of.

I made bone armor chestplates. Over 700 GC XP a pop (including the bone segments and fiberplast panels). Sped to Master Artisan really really fast.

I agree with Alacrity. There are not necessarily the most "cost effective" way to grind but you move up very quickly. I originally grinded a lot of weapon power-ups but that gets down right boring. Once I gota steady income by selling resources I did bone armor chest plates. Bought the hide and bone and mined everything else.

If you can get your hands on the material to make bone chests, go for it, if not, choose an item on the general list that takes big chunks of whatever material you currently possess. I made scopes for my 50k general crafting xp burn (architect and armorsmith, 33k + 17k). Saw scopes in my sleep for a couple days

I recently got Eng IV and looking to go novice weaponsmith.. What is the best thing to make to accomplish this? Going from getting 5k to 33k is a big jump

Thanks

If you are a scout with trapping 3 you can make glow-wire traps, they give 63 exp and if you make 2 general crafting machines you can make that in about 3-5 hours depending how numb your hands get.

These traps require 10 hides, 7 bones and 2 organic (i used insect meat)

What's the best thing for grinding? I heard that gun barrels are best, and I was grinding through those, but it takes way to long. Is there anything that may not be as efficient (as far a resources/XP) but gives a lot more experience per use?

I don't care if it takes75 resources every time, as long as I get more than 100 XP each time.

Right now I have Engineering 3.

You get 2 XP per Resource used. So find whatever you can build that uses the most resources. The exception to this is personal harvestors because they give structure XP.

Is it always exactly 2, or is that an approximation?
