Thread: Master BE needs help making CL 10 and lower creatures
Is it really an exploit?
Can someone link me to a post where an actual game representative/dev/etc said this? (not a correspondant)
If you saw a CDEF pistol with 1000 points damage and 1.0 speed, would you not think it was made with an exploit? Point is, your just acting dumb if you think or say something that is extremely overpowering be put in the hands of someone without a certification is OK.

Sorry, I don't assume anything...
"You will not exploit any bug in Star Wars Galaxies, and you will not communicate the existence of any such exploitable bug either directly or through public posting, to any other Sony Station member. You will promptly report such bugs via the /bug command in-game or by emailing [email protected]. Exploitable bugs include, but are not limited to bugs that grant the user unnatural or unintended benefits in-game."
It has been posted and I believe by the correspondant... so by definition anyone who posts about it can be banned (I am not posting on how to do it
) including him (I believe it was him at least)
The latter part is definitly the part in question, whether it is intentional or not has yet to be posted by the devs. And like I said, I am not going to assume it is. So don't try to call me dumb next time.

Exploit, bug, weirdness, oddity, accident... does it matter? These pets break every single intent of the proposed changes that were implemented. Wish I was better at searching messages because this fits the pattern of what the team has called an 'exploit' before. In a nutshell: achieving beneficial results that are beyond the intent of the system by deliberate or innocent action.
Lets break that down.
Achieving benefical results... check. These are super pets.
Beyond the intent of the system... check. These super pets are BETTER than pets before the change. They defy the stated purpose of the creature restructuring (do a message search on all the CH/creature changes)
Deliberate or innocent action... check. At first these were oddities. Now we KNOW how to do it every single combine.
I'm not calling for the hammer of god to smite down punishment. Alot of these pets were innocent actions.... now it is moving into the deliberate action category for alot of people. We know how to do this repeatedly. There may not be a wipe of these pets, or even a recalculation of the CL, but the bug in the code allowing it is gonna be closed. Can anyone give me an arguement why it won't be closed? The solution that i foresee is going to be something I ran into with a pet i had from before these changes with 3k damage (baby DNA clone that i kept as an oddity with its 3k damage and 13second delay). I'll wager all these super pets are going to start giving you a message of "Invalid stats" when trying to summon them.
But if you need an authority to tell you pushing 372675 in rapid succession on an ATM making it spit out free $20 bills is against the rules... well... nothing anyone can tell ya is gonna convince you it is illegal until the hammer comes down.
oh well

Lol 'Tal-n' is actually a command to the search engine to give all results that have any letter combination preceded by 'Tal' and succeeded by 'n'. Good luck searching for a post by this guy.
I try not to flame much... but **edit**, you're not too bright.
