Well i am not going to quit....I like making creatures....I dont make alot of the tissue stuff though...but thats becasue the components are difficult to get and it takes alot of time and takes away from my true play time in this game.

I like the Roleplaying aspect....In this case since their is a Jedi now on my server it seams I am going to try and find the person...not via tells...and maybe even go on and try to make the ultimate silly creature or maybe find one.

With new things popping up all over, and me being a Master I always want to try taiming everything.

And heck I still have not found any Milk or Mollusks, nor have I found half of the creatures out there.

It's probably because people get tired of being fed words, they want results andprogress. As exciting as the cloning changes sound, there still have been no visible results whatsoever. With the nov monthly patch hitting live in days, it has become increasingly clear that the cloning fixes are being shelved, mostly likely until December or later.

The fact that a month or two went by since the last update on the clone info, and then we were essentially handed the same information again recently, does not help any. There were some more details added to it, but still nothing tangible, like a date/timeframe (hint hint ).

I was a master and i just dropped all my skills today...

I had a lot of fun with this profession but i figured its time to move on. The only thing that was truely keeping me in the professionwere the upcoming changes. When i realized that they werent coming any time soon, i figured i should just go and see what the rest of the game has to offer.

Nah, don't buy it. I'm constantly getting tells for training from new BE's I've never heard of. Some people leave, lots of people start... It's normal.

But look for the profession to explode when the new cloning changes come in. Then we'll all be crying for the old days of our cozy community.

its really just a matter of patience and not everyone has enough in a game where changing professions is now considered high level content. there are enough signs that eventually something significant will come just by looking at some of the improvements offered to other struggling professions. krayt tissues added some real excitement to weaponsmithing and now we have the RIS armor coming for armorsmithing and you know how much those professions have struggled. eventually bioengineering will be fixed to the point of where it should have been at release and that should be exciting - even more exciting for those stubborn people who have insisted on playing a broken class all this time because of vague empty promises about some sort of fix coming soon. but there are always pet meds to make!

Yes the profession has an long way to go but i think it has the most potential out of all professions except for maby the de when they get fixed.

Seems to me like there's a lot of turnover both ways. When I was on my way up to Master I kept a lot of BEs names on my friends list for training. Most of them never log in any more. However, since I achieved Master, I have recieved a lot of new contacts from people who are on their way up in the profession and have personally trained at least 4 new masters in the last 2 weeks. I am also seeing a lot more BE tags above people's heads than I used to, including many new masters in the last month.

I tend to agree with those who see us as the "flavor of the month." If the proposed clone changes are delayed again, I bet a lot of those tags will disappear again.

I for one am here for the long haul. I like this profession, and plan to stick with it.

Saying things like: "thats lame" and "you dont know what you are talking about"

I didnt for a while becasue I would get tells and requests alot.....way more then I enjoyed.

Yes there are a lot of new masters popping up, novice grindmasters. Just look at how many threads on this board are concernedwith grinding versus those that involve making and selling the best products. Is this because of pet stims? Mounts? Holocrons? I'm beginning to feel that leveling in BE is becomming nothing more than a road bump on the way to jedihood or in keeping your guild supplied with mounts and stims, rather than an actual role play profession. The mad scientists are being replaced by veterinarians and kaadu dealers. It's not their fault, it's just the way the class plays right now. Kaadu don't require any great knowledge to make, and with pet stims you set out your harvesters and run your factories. Neither of these require the skill involved in making a good clone. So why not go ahead and grind your way into masterhood within a week?

Maybe when cloning gets fixed the scientists will return. I hope so, and I will gladly leave the pet stims and the kaadu to those who like making them.

I've personally noticed a lot more novices on Naritus in the past week or two. Seems a lot of CHs are picking up bio-e on the way in order to sell mounts. Kinda annoying (because it means there'll be less market share for me), but I think they'll be gone soon. I think you could probably count the number of masters on Naritus on two hands

I like that, though, because it puts you a cut above the average to be a master of a profession no-one else plays, in my opinion.

Lots of novices, very few masters.

This last holocron craze and how you have to master 8 professions to get Jedi just proves SOE has no real investment in the differentprofessions. The professions are there to master and throw away. This is SOE's idea of game content I guess. SWG seems to be designed for grinders which is why I don't play much anymore.

Well said.

Getting Jedi merely comes down to a time investment. That's all. No skill. No story. No immersive quest/mission. Nice creativity huh?
