I am a master artisan on Chilastra, and someone came to me
earlier with an AV-21 schematic asking if I could build him one.
Could someone please elaborate on what exactly is needed to craft
one? I have read about powerplants and rare loot parts, but I
don't really know what it takes.
So, would someone who knows kindly tell me how the craft part works,
(like is it a one-time thing per schematic, or can I make more (assuming
I had the parts) from the schematic, or what?) and what I need to make it,
etc?
Thanks a lot,
Zachary Greylock

You need the AV-21 schematic and the AV-21 power plant both dropped items. The power plant is a very rare drop compared to the schematic.
After you scribe the schematic to your datapad you need the AV-21 power plant and 3125ferrous and 1125 non-ferrous metal both with high SR. (metals are some ones used to make the X-34 landspeeder higher the SR the higher % you can experiment)
After you make the AV-21 the schematic disappears it's a 1 use item.

The schematic is given to players who are part of a complete corvette mission, this as far as i know can be imp, reb or nuteral, and any of the 3 different types of mission. If 10 people go on the mission and you complete it and they all talk to the right person then you will get 10x schematics.
The power core is a lootable item on the corvette. if your lucky then you can loot it when you do this mission but it is not on the corvette every time you do a mission so it may take one or two trys.
I have yet to get a power core but I am soon to be a master artisan and there are a few poeple in my guild who will be needing my services.
The corvettes are great guild outings, if you get over the fact that you ARE going to die... lots and dont take ya best armor then its fantastic.
I hope this helps someone

The AV-21....
I have Done the Vette missions no less then 50 times. I have found and built over 10 AV-21's myself. the following is the story of the AV-21...
You take a group on the Vette missions does not matter which one there are 3 IMP , 3 Neut, and 3 Rebel missions. if you WIN the mission everyone who was in the group (no more then 10 people) returns to the person who gave them the mission ticket and they will be given a AV-21 schematic in return for thier efforts. (NOTE: to get the character badge for the mission when you get the message on the vette that you mission is complete EACH player must hit the escape pod to get out. only those who get to the escape pos get the character badge)
Now as stated above you have a 1 use schematic. you need a AV-21 power supply to build it. the AV-21 Power Supply is a LOOT only item on the vette missiosn. on the vette there are 4 lootable containers (amories*3, broken r3 droid *1) the av-21 is a random loot item. so you can go on the vette and search all 4 containers and NOT get it. and its 4 loot containers. its not 4 loot containers times the number of your people in your group. So 1 group going to the vette has 4 chances of finding 1 av-21 power supply each mission. You do NOT have to win the vette to get a power supply. you just need to get the item as a lootable.
I have won 2 Neutral vette missions, and 2 rebel missions I have looted over 10 av-21 power supplies... it has taken me about 7-10 vette missions to get 1 av-21 power supply.
I sell the av-21's for 2 million each to keep my coffers full. i am sure you can get more from each one.. but i am not in it for the money... I like the vette missions.
Oh btw. I am Master Artisan/Master Architect, Novice politician (mayor) / Novice pistoleer..... so.. i am no fighter.

I made my first AV-21 for a guildmate. I got it to 91% experimentation with 960 SR steel and 670 SR Aluminum. Of course I messed w/ him an said I got it to 91% but left the practice box ticked. Hehe.
One note: You have to be neara crafter station. I used the one in Bestine b/c the player owned ones didn't seem to work.

Generally, you can buy the 2 loot pieces mentioned. It depends on your server, but schematics seem to sell for 100K-500K and powerplants sell for 1.5M to 2.5M. Big ranges because they are usually bought through the auction forumsand you never know where it'll fall.
Also keep in mind that you can critical fail when trying to assemble it. If that happens, your schematic and powerplant goess *poof* - including the millions spent to buy it.
