Thread: vendor question
I've seen Vendors on the map, but haven't actually found them even when I'm technically on top of them (map-wise). Selling things on the bazaar is pretty time consuming, so is there an easy way to sell junk from battle that's instant cash from an NPC?
The only thing that is instant cash from NPC's are "broken datapads" andjunk of that nature. There are no NPC's that buy dropped weapons, clothing, bones, hide, meat, etc.
I know this has most likely been answered somewhere and i must have missed it.
I did the business line to get the ability to have a vendor to sell my weapons and spice out of. Going for master weaponsmith/smuggler. Now I am getting the impression that my vendor will not be listed for all to see, so I am wondering if I just wasted all my crafting exp to just get a vendor that the only way someone will see is if they happen upon it or hear me yelling every other step i take.
I figured i would not be able to list all the items on the bazaar since i do not plan on developing the merchant class, but figured there would be a place at least where i could Put Vendor here (loc) With guns and spice. Not asking for a lot just kind of a general desc of what is on the vendor and the loc so that people could travel out there and see whats there if they wanted. At least it would be advertised and you would need see me shouting every two seconds which will prob get me less business.
I have three NPC vendors. I would like each one to sell a different type of goods. People have mentioned that they have their shops set up like this. How do you set them up?
All three of my vendors show the same list of items?
Groovykool
Both. Whoever placed the house can drop items, including vendors. Anyone you place on the Admin List shares those priveledges.
Of course, this presents some obvious security problems...can't let someone drop a vendor unless you trust them not to rob you blind. I've heard some people have been using the method of granting Admin status so the other person could place the vendor, then revoking Admin. Haven't tried this myself, so I'm not sure on the details or any side-effects that might crop up later.
There is a specific "Vendor List" permissions list also. So that you can give someone just access to place a vendor, and not access to demolish your house, or take your stuff.
