Thx dude for messing up something we artisans use to survive and make money!!!!!! Just when we got a money winner you kill us thx, you made a big mistake. SOrry im angry but enuff man!!!!

he will either A. spend all of his time mining his own space rock and not make many kits OR B. go broke paying someone to mine his space rock.

Facts to Know:
1. Superman's only weakness is Kryptonite. Jack Bauer laughs at Superman for having a weakness.
2. When Jack Bauer goes to the airport and the metal detector doesn't go off, security gives him a gun.
3. If Jack Bauer saw a terrorist reaching for a bomb to blow himself up, Jack would shoot the bomb first. Nobody steals a kill from Jack Bauer.

Either way it is by all means within his rights to charge what he wants for his product

so long as he is not sitting on the stoop of other peoples shops announcing his price he is doing nothing wrong

and for this part "Thx dude for messing up something we artisans use to survive and make money!!!!!!"

That made me crack up, I do not know a single artisan that survives and makes money by these BARC kits, most do not make them at all.

The proper course of action is to buy every one of them that he produces and resell them at a significant markup.

His prices designate him as a wholesaler and he should be treated as such.

You'll make a fortune in the process.

that would depend on his mark up tho. if his sell then for 60-70k yea it would be great but if he only marks them up to 40-50k. i wouldnt waste my time but thats me.

Ok ,this is how it is,

I am actually the creator of these kits, i am given resources and cash to produce,

my friend resells them~

If you really are complaining , go mine astroids and resell to somone, to harvest animals sell teh resources , go drop some harvesters sell the resources , and then find some other way to make money, but this is in fact the way that things happen, not flaming another honest person looking to make some ok money,

If you look again, artisan isnt a money maker, they make up for it by leveling up into a higher class crafter

what your saying is why cant my master marksman kill nightsister elders, the reason is,trying to keep some things rare in this community is a hard thing to do, if you wish to sell barc kits at 400k be my guest, i have no complaints, the only thing i ask in return is that you dont retaliate and flame a good friend of mine just because he is looking for a way to get his product sold, not to rip unsuspection people off.

Ex:

say someone buys the total experience for there friend/sibling/parents whatever, they have no idea what is happening in this game, the only thing that they have going for themselves is the cool gift that sony put into the total experience, Barc speeders, they probably would be very disapointed that there speeder is disabled permently. so even 100k is attainable for them. i beleive in helping people under me out, i have a warehouse full of 250 ship components i give away to people who need them, i dont ask anything in return except more parts to help out my buddies, but that is the thing , i could easily sell every part in there for around 2-3 million credits, but i dont. im not super rich or anything , but i do have some good friends that hook me up if i need something desperatly.

All i can say is im sorry for you, if you believe that this whole game is about selling high, here is a piece of advice, you can over come that by sellign in volume.

Absolutely right and simply put.

I reserve the right to sell anything I make at any price I want. This isn't a closed shop or a cartel. He can sell at whatever price he wants as well. FYI when Iget around tomaking these Barc repair kits I will not be selling them at 200 cpu or whatever it works out at as that is simply outrageous.

I knew a swoop vendor selling 90% swoops for 40k. I mined my own stuff and sell the same for 24k. It costs 8k of resources for each swoop which costs me maintenance on my harvies. I must be making around 250 - 300% profit. He was making 450 - 500%.

If you can get more than 24k per swoop feel free to buy me out. Same with the Barc repair kits. I will mine my own resources andI will sell them cheaper than the proximity vendors.I will not enter into some sort of price fixing arrangement just so as not to upset someone.

Elyssa is just speaking as a true merchant. Buy low, sell high. No where were you told thatwhat you do is wrong. You craft more for the fun of it. Elyssa is a merchant for the fun of it, but merchants are about buying and selling, not making.

Both ways are legit and perfectly fine. You both make money, you both provide services, and you both get out of the game what you want.

Merchant profession is the retail side of the game is all. So, don't be upset with it, thats the name of the game. If someone is selling a hot commodity with a low price and someone else sees credits just waiting to be earned, the first will be bought out and the second will mark up the price for a profit also.

For my sins I am a hybrid profession which includes part manufacturer and part merchant and with my merchant hat on I am always looking for a deal.

I think the point is that the 'makers' should be able to sell whatever they want at whatever price they want. We can get our resources in many different ways.

But you are right, with my mercahnt hat on I would watch this forum closely and buy and sell to meet demand and try tomake a profit.

Nothing wrong with that at all.

I guess it kinda bothers me when a subsidized crafter enters the arena. They typically try to break into a market by selling dirt-cheap items. On the one hand it can really hurt others in the crafting community. Its not like we have a whole lot of cnontent to enjoy. By the same token, those "crafters" hurt thier buddies too: They efectively siphon resources from thier buddies that could be used elsewhere. And really, how long are these people around? They make a quick buck, find its not worth thier time and drop crafting for more immediatly rewarding persuits.

I always reccomend a crafter have an honest start. I help my guildies with pointers, hot resource waypoints and space in my high traffic tent. Crafting/selling is a game of subtlety. A short cut like this can at best ruin the experience for that individual, at worst can really impact other players.

Ehem, I am the one that is causing all this "disharmony".

Now, i believe that i can sell whatever i want at whatever price i want, therefore, for me i believe that selling these at about 100k is ok.

I did not mean to mess any prices up, screw up any money making scemes, but i feel that there are newbs out there, who cant afford 200k-500k.

Just because i want to make the game more fun by making something cheaper makes me the jerk?

I did not mean to be rude to any1, to mess anything up, i should have price checked these first. But my friend sold me one for 45k, which i thought was the normal selling price. I cannot understand these going for around 300k.

Am i missing something? The pilots that attack you are teir one, for the carbonaceous astroid.

Ihavent tried out yavin yet.

Also, i agree with whoever said to buy mine cheap and resell them for high, if thats what you want thats fine, but if i make a affordable product, why cant i be glad and sell them? i mean, making one of these takes about 30 minutes of your time.

Also, thank you billium for backing me up, Sasee good to see you on the forums.

I guess ill go back to grinding pilot and getting astroids, im sorry for the disharmony i caused, i should have done a price check.
