Thread: Vehicle Restoration Kits

Formerly known as Barc Repair Kit, it looks to me like the Kit can be used on ANY Vehicle, including a Jetpack and they are now made using a Weapon and Droid Crafting tool instead of the Generic Crafting Tool. It does not allow experimentation and since there are no more Assembly failures, I successfully made eight of them. Here's the kicker, they stack when you make em so I had one Kit in my inventory with a small 8 in the upper right corner but fortunately they can be split, which is what I did before putting them on my vendor. The mining part to get the resources is pretty tough and time consuming. When not attacked by Asteroid Bandits, I can fill my cargo hold ( 1550 capacity ), in about 20 minutes. Sure would like to know if the tools work on all vehicles, not that any swoop owners would buy an expensive tool like that but I'm thinking of AV21 owners, and those that have Jetpacks and Barc Speeders. I would have been glad to spend 200k on this tool after my AV21 got destroyed and I'm sure that Jetpack owners feel the same way.

Does anyone know for sure if this tool works on ALL vehicles?

I have them on my vendor for 200k eaand because of the time involed of getting the resources to make them I have no plans of lowering the price. With that said I dont think there will be many people buying them for swoops. Ithink thatpeople will buy them to be used on the barc's AV's and the jetpacks.

Yes they work on all vehicles, on live there would not be a reason to use one except on the "exotics".

Being new to the Artisan profession, where in space could I find the resources for the vehicle rest kits? How do I harvest them up there....again being new to this and the game too any guideance or pointers to other websites for this information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Are these 1 time use kits? If so, something needs to happen.

1. The resources to make them need to be drastically reduced to allow the price to be in line with fixing a vehicle. It defeats the purpose to make this a general purpose restore kit now and still have it cost 200k because of the resource requirements.

2. Stop the stupid NPCs from gunning for your ride every time. I get off the vehicle and they still shoot at the vehicle until it is destroyed. It's the most annoying thing.

I believe they're like the starship repair kits where they reapir x ammount of damage total.

As for where to get the materials for them, I beleive they use all asteroid resources no? If that's the case, you need to get yourself a ship with some mining equipment (which, at the very least, entails a mining laser and a cargo hold) and then start blasting away!

The amount of resources needed to craft one is dropping in Publish 24 as stated by the devs. As far as the agro problem, well if you are Level 80 not much agro's you on most planets anyway.

I believe the notes state that the Restoration Kit does not apply to the Flash Speeder. Flash Speeders are restored in their usual way.

it's probably cheaper to pay the game 20k to get a new flash speeder than to use a kit anyway
