Thread: Who wants a pod racer?
Tier 1 upgrade - 5% turning radius
Tier 2 upgrade + 5% increase in acceleration.
Tier 3 upgrade + 5% increase in top speed.
Tier 4 upgrade - 10% turning radius
Tier 5 upgrade + 10% increase in acceleration
Tier 6 upgrade + 10% incease in top speed
The other option instead of using loot would be to use Artisan. As an artisan they would be required to find the best posible resource availible to make each comonent and you could possibly use loot as an upgrade to the component during the crafting process like a weaponsmith uses aklay or geo loot. Some of the resource required could be part of space mining as in the higher tier upgrades could require a hard to find space resource. if it were decided that Artisan would be the one making and installing the upgrades then it would probly work better to use a regular number system as opposed to the affore mentioned percentages.
Tier 1 - 5 Turning radious
Tier 2 + 5 Acceleration
Tier 3 + 5 Top speed
Tier 4 - 10 Turning radious
Tier 5 +10 Acceleration
Tier 6 +10 Top speed
( all numbers are for example and would vary depending on the resource used)

i like that idea reise. i would still like to see modded speeders being used outside of a race track so perhaps we could compremize. how about speeders with 50% modification could still be usable outside tracks and anything higher would be kept to the track. what do you all think.
keep the ideas comming

I seem to remember back when swoops, speeders, and landspeeders came out that there was a discussion on speed.
Something along the lines that swoops are very near to the highest speed possible for the game. Otherwise they go faster than the server-side information can get to you or a new boundary will load. So more speed probably isn't possible unless it was some sort of instanced track. Which that wouldn't be a bad idea in and of itself.
The acceleration/deceleration, turning radius, and terrain negotiation for vehicles would be good since we already have that in 00X0 of the Force Sensitive Enhanced Reflexes tree. But the racers with that tree and the upgrades would still have the same advantages as far as modifications go assuming all things are equal with the vehicle.
Just trying to provide some extra info ![]()

yeah, they did say that....and then they came out with the AV-21 which was faster...and then they came out with Vehicle Enhancements for the new FS skills. I don't beleive a word of it. They can do it if they want to. Besides, the worst that happens is they upgrade all the servers to handle it...which they should have done a long time ago anyway....win-win.
The FS tree gives faster acceleration and quicker turns, but no additional speed. I'd love the chance to strap a nitrous booster on my bike.
