I seem to remember back when swoops, speeders, and landspeeders came out that there was a discussion on speed.

Something along the lines that swoops are very near to the highest speed possible for the game. Otherwise they go faster than the server-side information can get to you or a new boundary will load. So more speed probably isn't possible unless it was some sort of instanced track. Which that wouldn't be a bad idea in and of itself.

The acceleration/deceleration, turning radius, and terrain negotiation for vehicles would be good since we already have that in 00X0 of the Force Sensitive Enhanced Reflexes tree. But the racers with that tree and the upgrades would still have the same advantages as far as modifications go assuming all things are equal with the vehicle.

Just trying to provide some extra info

yeah, they did say that....and then they came out with the AV-21 which was faster...and then they came out with Vehicle Enhancements for the new FS skills. I don't beleive a word of it. They can do it if they want to. Besides, the worst that happens is they upgrade all the servers to handle it...which they should have done a long time ago anyway....win-win.

Well, that's very true. I mean, you can't really believe a word they say until it's pushed to Live and even then it's a 50-50 shot at best on whether it will stick around...and even a lesser chance that it will work. So who knows if the vehicles are already at their cap for speed.

On a side note, is the AV-21, Swoop, and BARC speeders the same speed with different terrain negotiation modifiers to them or is the AV-21 really that much faster? Just asking cause I was under the assumption that they had the same base speed (if on completely flat land) but that their terrain negotiation modifiers were different so that it seemed like some were faster than others since no land is actually 100% flat if you're not in a city.

thanks for all the input. i would realy like to see some in put from the devs and see what they say about it. like is it possible as mentioned earlier. if the top speed was the issue i would still be happy to see terain negotiation ,acceleration , armor (that transfers to players), decay resists. it seems that there is alot of things that could be added even without top speed that would still make it very fun to customize. keep the ideas coming

If you want DEVs input don't post here. the DEVs don't com in here unless there is a mass riot and then they just start deleting threads with out thinking.

A very nice idea and i wouldnt object if said ability ever came out. However i dont really see Smugglers as the mechanics of Swoops. Ships sure but land vehicles...i dunno...seems more suited to Artisan or Engineer type proff. nice idea tho

I do!

Smugglers should be able to install compartments on anything. In this vehicle-based topic, we should be able to create a 10-item storage space on a vehicle. If the vehicle is destroyed, you should still be able to retrieve the items.

If the vehical is destoryed thhere should be a chance that the items get damaged or even detstroyed. i mean if i have stuff in my car's smuggling campartments and the car get into a crash or explodes there's a good chance the items in the car are going to be damaged if not destroyed.

I don't think Podracing should be for one profession. I think it should be about building your pod and your "twitch" skill.
