Thread: time to grind eng 1-4 now fro vehicles
this info been waiting for now we know takes eng 4 in art to make vehicles now i can start art and grind away.
Yeah sorry about that, that was my fault for being too assumpttive.
JustG ddin't say it was being moved, he just produced a list of known bugs and one of them said move schematics from Eng IV to MA, as soon as I posted about that though he edited his post and blanked tha (and several other) line out.
If you read the online handbook that states Eng IV too so I fear they arenot being moved.
I've heard they're planning on making an Elite profession of it, though don'tquote me on that, I can't remember where I heard it.So Automotive Engineer or whatever the title may end up being, would be able to craft, new designs, faster models, tougher, more durable vehicles. Personally I really like the idea of them putting them in Engineering 4. Vehicles are something everyone will want, need, and now... can have with only 1250 resources. No price gouging. No first week craze of 100k for a Speeder Bike. Not one more profession making millions in a day. I don't think anyone's profession is being crippled because of this. but everyone... EVERYONE.... is benefiting from it. And that's what I, personally, like. No casualties of war in this patch. Besides, I love the idea of doing a factory run of Swoop Bikes. But if the Elite profession does come out, sure a lot of people will just make their own rides, but how big of a status symbol, and you know that matters to 60% of the game, will it be to have the "best" vehicle, the flyest ride in the game? They will still have a market, trust me.

PLEASE PLEASE move it to Master Artisan
Its bad enough that its not going to be an elite profession.
There should be some aspect of 'Eliteness' to it so that dabblers dont destroy the market,
and also to give Master artisans something to be happy about.
Even if they don't move it to Master... the final schematicwill probably require or allow optional MA components. And lets not forget experimentation.Artisans should be pushing for experimentation to affect speed, handling, AND durability.
Sure, you can by a lemon from some guy who ground his way to Eng4 over the weekend... or you can buy a finely tuned performance machine from a Master Artisan with 10 or more experimentation points and the experience to pick the best materials to put into it.
(I have it on the word of someone who has it on good authority that his cousin heard that this is just a place-holder schematic. You might want to take that with a grain of salt, however.)

That would make sense so they could have crafters on TC crank some out quickly for testing purposes.
Hopefully the schematic will change. Hopefully they will put in experimentation.
And hopefully JustG's slip about them moving to Master Artisan is because that is the plan, but they currently have them in Eng IV because the population on TC is so low (just like they are using a simplified schematic), and what he posted was in upcoming patch notes.
