i think it would be cool if vehicle components were crafted separatly and thenthere would be a Vehicle assembly tool to assemble all the pieces.all the speeders would require a repulor lift drive, the model hull, the apropriate propulsion engine (you would have to make 3 identical turbine engines for a X-34, an ion engine for the 74-z[speeder], and dual ion engine for the swoop), and brakes. then you could choose to add a cargo apartment and engine filter(make vehicles enginesthat don't have filters decay faster while in use onTatoine). The stats of assembled vehicles would depend upon the quality of the parts. the vehicle as a whole would not decay, but rather the individual parts would. then if a certain part totally decayedyou would beunable to use it. You would have to go to an artisan that has vehicle assembly tool and get a new part put in. However, if the hull totally decayed the vehicle would blow up, ejecting you and causing significant damage to you(if you were riding it at the time), it would also cause damage to all the other parts. it would then become unusable and you would have to go to an artisan with a vehicleassembly tool and have them select "salvage" off of the tool radial menu, which would collect allthe still undecayed parts from the vehicle and then you would have to get all the necesary parts for the vehicle and have them assembled.

i think that this would add alot more variaty and costumization options to vehicles. what do you think?

I thihk they were talking about making vehicle schematics more complicated in the future, but when I have no idea.

I think they just rushed it to get it in the game.

The schematic would be just like any other schematic, I think. Just more components than before.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

we all would like to make our vehicles more personnal...(faster ion engines, better repulsors for a smoother ride....etc..)

But we were told that schematics will become more complex as we go along...we are going to be able to color our bieks (not sure if it is live or not, im at work)...so it's a step in the direction.

I like the idea of having the components decay and need to be replaced, it would take a lot of work but I think it would increase the star warsy feel of the game I mean what was watto selling anyway? Plus that would give us the ability to customize in a good way, to trick out our swoops with super fast engines that decay faster than I get dbed by a nightsister elder, or make a hull thats so heavy your speeder cant go much faster than a kaadu but will last just about forever. Is this something thats being considered as past of the vehicle engineer profession that will come someday? *crosses fingers and hopes* This is how I would want the vehicle crafting to eventually be, I know the devs have said its only temporary the way it is now, just to get it out there.

This will most likely not be put in until the space expansion comes out. Adding a new profession like Vehicle Engineer or something like that to build galactic vehicles will prob be more in line with what you are talking about in the way of more complex schematics.
