Hey all,

With the CU rolling out, a single place to collect our bug posts seems a good idea. Please post your CU bugs (preferably Artisan related) here.

Newly crafted Grenade Power-ups have not stats and can not be applied to C12 grenades. I crafted both Explosives Kit and Wiring Kit and they came out with no stats. I tryed to applyeach to a C12 grenade (pre-CU crafted), I pulled from a crate, and got a message that the power-up can't be applied to the weapon.

From the Knowledge base "Known Issues with CU" entry:
-NEW- [Grenade Power-Ups] -NEW
Customer Service is aware that Grenade Power Ups are currently not functioning correctly. Development is looking into this matter as well, and hopes to resolve it in the near future.

Thanks for /bugging it. That sort of thing helps them track the problems internally. /bug creates a ticket in the problem tracking system.

Why bother they don't seem to care......


All my signs and my little memory wall that I'd made out of Bone Armor Segments are destroyed. They all read Battle Armor Segment now, oh the joy, and I bet "we are sorry but we cannot fix this"


Not only that but since they took them away from us, we can't make new ones.


My loss isn't as great as other artisans like the Wookie on Intrepid who had over a years' work wiped out in the same fashion for their beuatiful museum.....

The powerups I had already out of the crate give the 'faulty' message. Pups taken out of the crate after the conversion can be applied OK.


However, my calculated DPS goes DOWN when I apply the powerup, both with melee and ranged toons - I don't have many differenttypes, but it doesn't seem like they're gonna be much usein the new system

all powerups seem to be 'faulty' i tried putting one on my weapon, and it said it was faulty. i have like 300+ crates of bugged powerups now

FYI - Major Change to crafting:


Nice find, this was a change to crafting that was made back in Oct-Nov that didn't make it live until the rest of the code did. It seems to have been overlooked so I will give a brief outline.


Old Crafting Method:

Resources range from 0-1000, the closer you got the stats to 1000 the better the outcome of the item. The problemin this system was that many items use several different types of resources that could never approach 1000 in the stat called for in the schematic. For example the conductivity of iron is very poor.


Agun calls forgeneric metal(can have a high oq and cond), copper(generally has high cond and can have highoq) and a named iron(terrible cond max and can have a high oq) This gun will always suffer from that poor iron in itsimply because the cond range for thisiron is 50-120 for example. No matter how good the iron you can never craft a beyond a certain point as the iron gates it.


Why you may ask?

Well the old method just dumped all your resources into a virtual bucket, and based the stats on the sum total of the bucket.



New crafting Method:

The crafting scripts now look at the RANGE of every material for the slot it is going into. So if an iron that has a conductivity of 99 needs to go into the conductivityslot, the script looks up and sees that the max iron's Cond can be is 150. This means your iron is weighted as 99/150 instead of 99/1000. This means your iron is much more effective now.


With the tweaks made to the system we can now control the values of the slots in a way that makes sense, instead of the virtual bucket sum total method.

um, can we get that reversed? I like easy stat caps. I liked X+Y=Z. They said they'd look into the bar next to the schematics, but this screws up things like showing stat averages in the inventory too, as well as making us have to redo a giant pile of spreadsheets, resource tools, websites, etc.

The new (at least I think it is new - I've never noticed it before) doctor bags in the Master Artisan box currently seem to be bugged- they don't do anything. I made one, tried dropping meds into it (as a doctor) and couldn't. There are 2 options on the bag - remove meds and label meds but neither work (tell me the bag is empty) but I am unable to get anything in to the bag as a master doctor...

After careful experimentation, I got only one instance of an increase in DPS with a powerup, and it involved a .8 increase in DPS.



Give us useful powerups again. They don't have to be involved in DPS, just make them useful, like a reduction in condition loss or something. Powerups now are useless.

i tried to make a metal recycler and got the "this player has no owner" message and then 20 messages saying that the schematic was revoked and all my stuff and the schematic disappeared. i believe they had this bug before and corrected it and apparantly they have it again. kiss another 3 mil credits down the drain

I cannot use any crafting tool today...they all say they fail after I click start. I also cant call my droid/pet or vehicles.


Earlier I could not store any pet/vehicle.



I really need my crafting tools fixed. Anyone else having this prob?
