Ok i ground out to master artisan mainly because Iwanted to do some elite proffessions and figured I'd master artisan on the way. Now I'm starting to get orders from other players for components, But im wondering does the quality of the artisan components I make matter? For instance if i sell the components to a WS AS or Chef.... whatever, does it affect the outcome of the product they make? Do I need to invest into extremely good resources? or will general grinding grade materials work just as well? any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Alistina

The correct answer to that question really comes down to what the final product will be.
For Weaponsmith and Armorsmith items where quality really does count, every component that goes into counts also so you would need to make sure you are using the very best resources available to make these components. For example, a Tangle Pistol that has poor Control Units will translate into a poor Tangle Pistol.
If you are making items for an Architect (that are not being used in Harvesters) than you could get by making them with anything because if an Architect is going to put it into a House or Factory than the quality doesn't matter.
So it really is determined by your audience. As a good rule you should probably be on the lookout for the very best to make the Artisan items and if you happen to get an order for something that stats don't matter on than you can use some of your old stock that might not be as good.
Hope that answered your question.

some added info in my Experiences as a Master ... I have made tangle pistols with the worst non-experimented control Units, and then made some with the highest experimented control unitsand The tangle pistol is identical ( as long as my experimentations are the same in the weapon experimentation phase) ... so unless they changed this recently ( in the last publish or 2) ...you can use grind quality resources to make components that are from the Master Artisan skills and used in crafting weapons... as for DE uses and AS uses of master Artisan components I can not speak on that topic

I've looked through the guides & the FAQ, but I can't anything that that addresses this question:
When I use a survey tool to survey for resources, do I see the same thing as everyone else does?
What I mean is that I'm wondering if (because I don't have much survey experience yet) I can see all the resources that are available on a planet when I survey.
For instance, on swgcraft.com, it says that on my serverI can find Eleton Reactive Gas on Yavin IV. But when I go to Yavin IV and survey none appears on the list. All I can find is Methane Reactive Gas. Do

Or did I just happen to catch a resource shift?
Thanks for the help.

Very sorry this went up 3 times.
I have no idea why that happened.

You see the same resources as everyone else, you just can't see as far as someone with more skill.
How long ago was that particular resource added to swgcraft.com?
They tend to shift every 7-10ish days.
SWGCraft relies on player input so while it is an incrediblyuseful tool, it does not reflect the live status of the servers.
