I made some vehicles first thing this morning. I headed into town thinking I will make some money. Nope! 1 guy is yelling 20k for all vehicles. Another was under cutting him at 18k. I head to a different town. A little better. 25k and 30k. Inotice Im selling allot of resources for a high price on the bazaar. I decide to make money selling my resources to these idiots instead.

Yeah, I'm going to stick it out for a while until these guys run out of resources. Hopefully the prices will go back up to something more worthwhile.

If you cant compete because someone is running a better business than your do you want us to cry for you?

I don't think they are running a better business then me. I think they are wasting time. I can make more money using the resources I would have put into the vehicle on more profitable things. To make a high quality vehicle you need High quality resources. I can sell those for a minimum of 6 credits per unit. I can also make harvesters or weapons with the same resources and sell for allot more. Are they running a better business then me or are they just wasting their time?

we have to remember that this is not a one shot deal... this business will be around.. it is called return business... give the customer a fair price ( good price ) and he will come back to you for another one..

That is if they loose some hame everytime you repair them like weapons do ... or vitality for pets..

For free? Wow. That's a fair amount of money to give away. Well, it's the spirit of the holidays, I guess.

I think the idea of selling the resources instead sounds like a good idea to me. I had hoped to get 5CPU on the vehicles, but if not, then I can do just as well if not better selling the materials in the bazaar.

Yeah if I cant get at least 5cpu in resources Ill just sell them and reduce the risk of crit fails by 100%.

If sales are all that matters to you then you probably applaud those people giving them away for free. I mean, they're probably getting more sales than they can handle! But the intelligent businessman worries about profit.

The best thing to sell is resorces. I sold 400 units of Steel that was really cheap for 3000 Credits. People that have been fighting to become Jedi seem to need a crafting proffesion to start with. Example someone might need to become a Droid Engineer but they are a combat person. So what they do is spend all the money they got from hunting and try to learn the other profession as quick as possible. What does this mean for resorces? More Money for people who sell em. Just something I noticed here lately.

Here ya go people go to the architect boards ad look up the Archtect profitablity thread the initail post was made by ME i did alot of math to find the cost and profit of selling reousrse for 3cpu not matter what the resource.

what has been said here is true the cost of the vehicle is not the cost of the resources on the bazzar but the raw cost of extracting that resource. if the swoop needs 8k minerals i can get that in less than ten hours on my medium harvesters lets say i use only two to get that. so that is 120 an hour and 5 power power on a base 9 wind running at 60% is .11cpu so that is 120.55 per hour multiply by ten 1205.5 credits for a swoop

sell at 20k you are making 1900% profit aproxamtely (awesome business plan for those who don't know about cost/ profitablity markup) go ahead and check the thread it was quite controversal no one wanted to believe me

if you see an arch selling vehicles you know he is making out on them. only the guys who give them out free are lossing any money. once i finish my surveying XP and get master i plan to sell top of the line vehicles for 12 to 18k based on experimentation and resources used. (i don't include criticals, they arn't the customers fault but ours)
