CHEFS obviously dominate food/drink production and rightly so! but artisans can produce some awesome stuff that will remove some of their business....hehe

The items below work best with Very good resources (obviously), a 40%+ station, & sadly for you alien scum a human with +5 to +25 in tapes (i.e. 12-14 exp points)

ITEM 1 (The best by far)

Bio-enhanced exo wafers - should get 25% dmg reduction @ only 5 filling!!! AWESOME - byebye synsteak

At 5 filling you can reapply regularly and have LOTS of stomach room left.

ITEM 2 (Good)

Bio-enhanced Aitha - should get @ least 250+ mind heal again @ much lower filling than blue milk

(and u don't have to get milk ......)

ITEM 3 (Potential for entertainers/ non-buffed hunters especially carbineers)

Bio enhanced Teltier noodles.....no i've not gone mad! You can hit +90 stamina (max 96) and its STACKABLE

With its low filling (aim for 15 filling) you can take several e.g. 4 of these gives +360 stamina buff for 1hr.

The "red bar" equivalent is Kanali wafers - same stats and 1 hr duration but not so sure it has a role? maybe in

the combat revamp when doc buffs are Nerfed.

Artisans can make the above using the most basic ingredients, the expense is getting a Bio-engineer to supply

Light additives. You should make the money back easily with ITEM 1&2 though. Hope this post "stimulates"

one or two artisans to get cooking!! (especially if they have 12-14 exp points).

P.S. This post has to be worth at least 3 stars surely.......

great Ideas!

I know I will be geting it this market once I get my resources stablized.

I think htere is a market for Artisan food.

BE use Jawa Beer, the HAM bounus food is excellet(THEY STACK!)for BEs sampling, artisan surveying, dancing/music, there is a burst run one that I keep a stack ofin my tool bar instead of the standard burstrun command. Also the TN bonus oneI love.

with 14 points and some good MNS's they are competitive IMO. It's just getting people to realize it.

You certainly do not want to miss Jawa Beer, Travel Biscuits and (gaahh this one is hard to spell) akuuv-evv something or other lol.... it buffs creature taming!!

Figure also that most chefs don't have the 14pts either, so you guys also have an edge on us

Dooont go expecting protien wafers to outsell synthsteaks though!!

I am a big fan (as a consumer) of filling-experimented Aitha. I may fill my stomach with brandy and other drinks and then need that emergency mind heal when I only have a sliver of stomach available. Aitha is the answer to that situation.

Excellent work, Wildfury!

Artisan foods, if made and marketed properly, can be useful and good sellers. As for Chef's, well, their Artisans too, no?

Ive long felt that Artisan foods were overlooked by a lot of folks.

Now the real trick is finding a good, reliable, inexpensive source for BE Supplements.

I'm keeping my eye on you!!!

Excellent post. Since foods are one of the rare artisan items that people actually buy that have more than one experimentation category, it's certainly a good market for Human artisans. Travel Biscuits (+terrain negotiation), Dustcrepe (reduces DoT time, but can only be used every 15m), and Jawa Beer (+mask scent) give effects that aren't available in chef-level foods. Artisan foods that do overlap with Chef items can find a niche due to their much lower filling or higher duration.

Can't be done. You can get any two of "good", "reliable", or "inexpensive", but not all three.

Im a master chef/artisan and i sell more exo waffers than i do synthsteak. At the same price even. Exo waffers are even more easy to make and take less resources.

As a 14 point artisan, I sell tons of artisan food. I'm not a chef at all, but the chef in our guild lets me make the artisan stuff (for the most part). My exo-pro wafers are 26% dmg reduction/7 use/4 filling! Very uber. They decay in about 60 seconds, so you can hot key/macro them.

Other good sellers, in addition to what you named, Dustcrepe (23-36% DOT reduction - reduces time, duration & effect), Starshine Surprise (incap recovery), Spiced Tea (mind buff) and Caf (willpower buff).

Caf is a big seller for me, since it lasts 65 minutes. You can take it and after 45 min you can pop your brandy or whatever and have a 20 min double buff. Perfect if you're planning to PvP and are worried about your mind regen.
