CHEFS obviously dominate food/drink production and rightly so! but artisans can produce some awesome stuff that will remove some of their business....hehe
The items below work best with Very good resources (obviously), a 40%+ station, & sadly for you alien scum a human with +5 to +25 in tapes (i.e. 12-14 exp points)
ITEM 1 (The best by far)
Bio-enhanced exo wafers - should get 25% dmg reduction @ only 5 filling!!! AWESOME - byebye synsteak
At 5 filling you can reapply regularly and have LOTS of stomach room left.
ITEM 2 (Good)
Bio-enhanced Aitha - should get @ least 250+ mind heal again @ much lower filling than blue milk
(and u don't have to get milk ......)
ITEM 3 (Potential for entertainers/ non-buffed hunters especially carbineers)
Bio enhanced Teltier noodles.....no i've not gone mad! You can hit +90 stamina (max 96) and its STACKABLE
With its low filling (aim for 15 filling) you can take several e.g. 4 of these gives +360 stamina buff for 1hr.
The "red bar" equivalent is Kanali wafers - same stats and 1 hr duration but not so sure it has a role? maybe in
the combat revamp when doc buffs are Nerfed.
Artisans can make the above using the most basic ingredients, the expense is getting a Bio-engineer to supply
Light additives. You should make the money back easily with ITEM 1&2 though. Hope this post "stimulates"
one or two artisans to get cooking!! (especially if they have 12-14 exp points).
P.S. This post has to be worth at least 3 stars surely.......

I routinly use/stock Arti Foods. They are awsome for noobs, and aint too shabby for vets. I mostly use em if Im out mining surveying.

I use MNSs to increase power.

Enhanced Bofa Treats -- 80 /40 min 7-8 fill (not a bad little Health Buff)

Blob Candy-- 80/ 40 min 7-8 fill (Action buff)

Spice Tea for mind...but I usually use brandy myself.

There are some real treasures in the Artisan Food line, especially if they are Bio-Enhanced.

Jawa Beer-- Bump your mask sent for 14 min or so

My favorite as a non-scout:

Travel Biscuits -- 15-20 Terrain Nav for 10-14 min /7 fill or so. This one is a must have for non-scouts and NOBODY knows about it.

I stock crates, finding a dependable BE has been a struggle (Im also Master Tailor). Crates I stock are non-BE enhanced but I can reach 55ish on the buff foods at 38 min or 15ish on the Travel biscuits. I keep an eye out for good floral spawns and harv whenever they are available.

Artisan Foods are very worth peoples time to make/use and very very cheap. I can sell crates for 5k and still make a profit (self harvested flora).

here is the info i got from this question on the chef board:

There are four different types of "light bio component", used in the "light additive" schematic. These are the actual tissue names, any of them will fill that slot:

  • Micronutrient supplement: increase buff size (nutrition experimentation category) 30-60% (bonuses in the mid 50s are most common).
  • Multisaccharide Dimate: increase buff duration (flavor experimentation category) 10-30%
  • Carboreductive Catalyst: decrease filling 5-15%.
  • Hyper Yeast Additive: incrase stack size (quantity experimentation category) 100-200%

You get the most bang-for-your-buck using the nutrition additive, although there may be foods that can get some benefit from the others that we haven't discovered yet. The percentage increase is above what the final stat would be given the category experimentation. So if you experiment Bofa Treats to 75% Nutrition, you get a buff of +53 Health. Craft an additive wiht a 55 bonus Micronutrient, and use that with the Bofa treat will give you +82 Health at 75% Nutrition experimentation: 53 base * (1 + 0.55).

Either you are trying to add the raw tissue (add water to the tissue to make an additive), or you got the wrong tissue and made a medium or heavy additive (Artisan foods can only use a light).

/sigh

And if it wasnt bad enough with all the 12pointers out there, the artisans are going to steal my business too now?!

When will the madness end?!
