I want to let someone else stock and manage a vendor that I set up.

When I set up the vendor, will I have to stock it?

Will I receive all email notifications?

I haven't tried it before, and just thought to ask before I do...

Thanks!

You are the only one that can manange and stock your vender. E-mail notifications? Oh, yeah......you will get plenty of those! Not just for each sale, but for every bloody item that gets returned to the stockroom in 7 days of not selling.

I just have a few question for you guys

How many vendors can an artisan have, and how much does each one cost? How is access to the vendor controlled? Can a vendor be used for multiple people, say if its put into a PA Hall? Does the level of Business skill determine the quality of the vendor (i.e. max items.)

thanks guys

Artisans only get 1 merchant, and it's the most expensive merchant (Terminal). You don't get a second merchant until Novice Merchant.

The only person that can control the merchant is the person that placed it. Anyone can place a merchant in any house they have admin access to, but only the person that placed it can manage it.

The level of merchant skill (not artisan biz, but merchant tree) affects various things such as how many vendors you can control, what your selection of vendors is, advertising, and maintenance cost reduction.

All vendors can hold the same amount of items. I'm sure there's a max, but I'm not sure what it is. You might want to check over on the Merchant boards for that.

I have never gotten around to placing a vendor. I have a few questions:

1. Do items in the vendor count against the number of items in the building?

2. How long do items stay listed? When they get bounced off the vendor, how long do you have to retrieve them. Do you get an e-mail like you do on the bazaar?

3. What is the maintenance cost on the vendor? Is it higher for the vendors that look like people?

Thanks for any answers you give or any advice about using vendors.

No. Items on vendors do not count against building limits. If they did, player mega malls would not be possible.

Now, items stay listed 30 days. You get like 24-48 I believe, might even be 72 hours. You do get an email telling you the auction/sale failed.

Vendor maint cost? well, I put $10k on it and it said like 20 days worth of maint.

Terminal and Droid Vendors initialization is bugged. Go here:
