Thread: Petition to remove Paint Decay on Vehicles...

I dont see why the fading away is in the game, for droids and vehicles. If the point is, that DE and Artisans make more money, the fading has done the opposite with me. I would pay a DE for coloring my droids at least once and maybe more often when i want to change their luck. But at the moment there is no reason for me to do it, because i would need to redo after 1 or2 days. so i never get them colored and no Artisan gets money from me for coloring. If the color would stay forever or at least for 1 month i would pay for it.

This has to be one of the worst ideas I have ever heard of. Since when do you repaint your Vehicle every few days in RL or even once every 10 years? Most of us will lose our Vehicles before we need to repaint it. Currently as it stands your paint will wear off your Vehicles in a few days so you will have to buy another paint kit to repaint it. If this is the way its going to be I am done buying paint kits. It has nothing to do with money but more of the principal of the idea. How much longer because the clothes we buy will go white from whatever color it is and we have to buy a dye kit to change it back every day. You know sweat wears out the color.. PFFT...



If paint jobs arent perma count me out... A paint job should last forever on your Veh, not for a few days.....

I understand that you're upset about it, but believe me, this isn't new. This has been an issue in the game since the beginning. It's not a bug. It was intended to be this way. It's a way to frustrate you, and a way to keep you spending money on re-painting.


But then again, even in real life "paintjobs" fade over time.



But I'll put a vote in for only having to repaint your vehicle once a month.

yes i agree,



the coilor should stay for vehicles AND droids.



yes in real life color fades, but hey a car u normally let get painted after like 10 years not a month or 20 McDonalds drives



its rediculous and just destroys the fun of different colors in the game.

ok well tonight I found out not even a full day of play and not even half the health on my speeder bike my paint job is totally gone. I believe its how many times you pull out your bike. I am guessing 10-15 times you pull your bike your paint disapears
I dont even get a full day out of my paint job? Thats insane I am done buying paint!

I agree that it should last longer (in all cases e.g. droids), but I wouldn't say any more than a few weeks.

Well, since this now includes vehicles as well as droids meaning the Artisans are in on it as well the DEV's probably will fix it in a few patches. We DE's have been asking for a change many times but so far it's still there. I hope you have better luck, just make sure you include droids in your request and I'm with ya.

All this paint decay will achieve is:


There will be 5 to 10 percent of the population that will continue to buy paint kits to maintain their favorite vehicle color, but the rest of the players will be lazy and just stop buying kits after a few weeks. It's a nice feature to play with for a few days, but if the paintjob fades too fast then it becomes pointless to continue to customize your vehicle.

I noticed when I painted my droid a while back that the droid lost color while sitting in my data pad. after wards, I deleted the droid and went on. I was not about to sit there and repaint my droid every few days..



Now I hearvehicles can be repainted. I am a master artisan.I went to make a crafting kit and low and behold found out that I can't. NO DE anywhere around me. Well my landspeeder is still the same color and Will probably stay that way for a while.
