Paint Decays rougly after 10-15 pulls from your datapad.. Thats pure bs.. A paint job lasts for like 10 years in RL. Not 10 mins...

I think it's a good thing to give artisan's something that degrades over time. Right now most of the things we make last forever and no one ever buys them again. You complain it's not like RL, i don't see you saying that the clothes you buy should degrade over time. They do in RL. If you got your wish, everyone one would run out by a kit, color their vehicles and never buy another kit ever again. Then what would you sell. We as artisan's need more degradable items, more reasons for people to buy our stuff.

In any economy you need to have as many sinks as you have faucets, otherwise inflation ballons out of control.

That said, the paint should last longer than it currently does, but no decay would be bad.

Ahh, so the new vehiclepaint is like droidpaint and decays after a few days.

GuessI don't need to bother tracking down an artisan now to paint my landspeeder as its just not worth doing if after spending ages getting the colour right it just fades away a few days later.

I disagree about removing the decay, however I do urge the developers to decrease the decay rate so that you can have at least two weeks before your color wears away.

I think it was probably a good idea to make the kits require the storage componant from the DE's to make, as it now gives them another avenue of sales, but dang, I was charged 1k per unit. That means I then have to inflate my prices.

Although the decay rate may be intended, it is not cost effective for the end user at all. I actually gave a lot of my kits away for free last night as I felt bad about how much I need to charge these folks for them.

People will NOT continue to buy the kits at the prices we have to charge every two days.

Devs, please reduce the decay rate on paints.

It really kinda makes me sick to see these people who honestly think this paint job shouldnt be forever. Bottom line most people lose there vehicles pretty commonly and have to rebuy them. If you really think your going to get rich by selling a 1K item your dead wrong. I for one wont even bother to spend 1K, 10K 100K on this garbage for the simple fact that I dont want to redo it every day, week, month or year. If I buy a new Vehicle then I expect to repaint. If not, screw it, its not worth it and MANY people feel the same way. People are already yelling macros to how fast it wears off and urging people NOT to buy paint until they fix it.

Now imagine EVERYTHING in your profession working like the vehicle cust. kits. That's what it's like to be a Droid Engineer. Ever wonder why DEs don't advertise droid coloring services?

yeah, it should be based on time and not the number of times it is pulled out.

Just give it at least a week and I would be happy. Once a month would be better.

Oh yeah, take the storage compartment our of the darn schematic!!!!!

I never knew droid paint jobs existed.. I thought it was something they made and it randomly changed colors

Most droids can be colored with the use of a Droid Customization kit and it sticks like a vehicle paint job except:

1) Protocol Droids get only the gold color as a choice (I'd like silver, tarnished bronze and tarnished silver added)

2) R2/R3 droids tend to randomize everytime they are called.

3) Some storing a droid sometimes wipes the color (kinda like vehicle repair)

4) Only DEs can use the kits to color droids. We can't just sell them to people like with vehicle kits.

5) This is the only "enhancement" we've gotten in 3 months.

The colour decay should be linked to repairs... say make it last 10 or 15 repairs. That way a vehicle experimented to a high durability would gain a added value.
Yes it should decay over time, most things in the game ought to, but not at a rate that make it an annoyance.

I agree with everyone else who says " this is a BAD IDEA ", sure in RL ( lol ) paint jobs fade on cars but guess what, 1. this is not real life and 2. even though a black paint job on a car may fade it still stays black. For those of you who say it's all about resale value, please at Master Artisan I hope you are not depending on paint kits to make your liveliehood, cause if you are that is sad.

How would everyone like it if all the smugglers got together to press our correspondent to put some pressure on the dev's to make slices wear out over time, hmm you know what that's not a bad idea ( just kidding ), however if everything else wears out over time I for one will definitely be one of those who lead the charge for that.

My point is not everything needs to be a credit dump to relieve us of credits and 2. has anyone thought that maybe when people play this game they might have more on there mind like advancement and so forth and do not feel like doing tedious things like repainting a vehichle everyday and going to find a kit. I mean wasn't this suppose to be a game about having some fun.
