Thread: 40K Condition Swoop?!?

I saw a guy on Dantooine tonight shouting that he was selling Swoop bikes with 40k condition for 250k credits. At first I thought it was a scam, until I looked at the Swoop he was sitting on (Clicky for a picture of it)
My question to you Artisans: Is this possible under normal conditions? I've been a Master Artisan before, so I've got an idea what's possible under normal conditions. But were changes made and I just missed the patch notes? Or is this an exploit of some kind?

Hehe I have one of those also. I'm pretty sure its a bug. I had a friend make me a schematic for some swoops using decent resources. The first swoop I pulled out of the crate had 2200ish condition. A few days later my next one came out with exactly 40,000 condition. I've had it almost a week and have never repaired it.

Imagine the bill you'd get stuck with when you do repair it.

It's a shame you can't set it on auto-pilot and get it to tank krayts for you!

Actually, you could (theoretically) get it to tank for you. All youneed to do is get your opponent to aggro it.

It would be a rather expensive tank if it is destroyed completely.

It's a known bug.
Nobody has any idea how it happens, not even the Devs.

As the proud owner of a 40k speeder (high HAM and low maintence) that my crafter alt made. I thought it had only happened to me as well. I will never sell the bike either as a Ranger i love it. There was a post on here from an AV-21 that came out as a 40k'er as well. Its random and the only thing i remember about the creation of mine was that it was copper for the non-ferrous and experimentation was 92%. I have made a lot of vehicles since then and none have come the same way.
As for the cost of it. Yeah well it gets pricey. Mine was down 8k when i repaired it the other night for 32k. As a ranger who roams its been worth every dime to fix. And it cost me 0 to make

It's an easily re-produced bug - and I don't think it would be right to tell you - exploits and all.
But, it'd essentially be cheaper to buy a new swoop/bike/etc.
I don't know why it happens, but I do know it has nothing to do with the artisan who crafted it.
