Thread: Some good news on Vehicle Customization kits

Hey all,
Got some good news on the vehicle customization kits the other day (BTW, this applies to droid kits too). Right now, vehicle paint jobs last for 20 calls of the vehicle, clearly not enough. I know I can call one that many times in a single day! After some discussion, the Devs have decided to raise the duration of a vehicle paint job to 200 calls, and see what happens from there.
I don't know when this is going into live, btw. I hope soon. Perhaps we can see more sales of these kits plus improve the look of the world with some wicked paint jobs!

Nice compromise. Would have preferred a day count, personally. But this is much better than the 20 calls we have.

I'm reasonably happy with it being based on number of calls. If it were based on days,a casual/off & on playerwho bought a customization kit might only get 10 uses out of the vehicle before needing another kit.
I'm glad they fixed most of the auto storing bugs...I could go through an entire paint kit in a day because of my vehicle autostoring before. Even with 200 calls, the kits wouldn't have lasted long with those bugs.

Maybe not. The reason nobody that I know buys them is because they don't last long enough. I have been told that they would buy them all the time if they lasted longer.
And many people don't build and sell them because they don't last long enough.

I agree with someone earlier, the customization should be based on the number of days, not calls. Probably would've made more sense.

I use them all the time on all my bikes. But they definately don't last long enough now.
However, I could live with, say, 50-100, instead of just 20. It doesn't have to be as high as 200 to make them less of a hassle for folks to bother with.

Glad to hear it.
Is it also possible to make the colours better while they are it? I'm not asking for more colours, just make them look better - look richer - when applied to a vehicle.
