*counts*
2 crates at 25 tools each
7 uses in each tool
200 uses per tool
divide on two for both colourings
35000 calls
I think that will suffice for me for a while.
Anyway, good to see it changed, but I highly doubt that sales will skyrocket because of this. Most likely the people who bought kits will keep on doing it, but more seldom, and the rest will still not buy because they miss the update that they have a long durations now

Finally!
I think im the only diehard droid/vehicle painter for miles on my server (As in - i buy the customization kits) i hate them unpainted...

Now if only they would fix the horrible default colors. Who thought red stripping on a unpainted hull was a good idea? Can't the unpainted version look like it does in the data pad? (ei: bare metal).
Maybe they figured the horrible red stripe would increase paint sales, that obviously didn't work, it just made the world uglier. With paint now having an effect worth using it for, people have a reasonable option. But just incase they don't get a clue, kill the red stripe!

to be honest, this really isnt that cool.
Im still never going to buy them, simply because i hate having to manually repaint my vehicle every however many calls it takes. i have to remember the specific colors of each vehicle i had, for each character... and manually reapply it?
Thats just annoying. The kits should be able to recharge the current color. ie: if its down to 32 calls left, drop a kit on it and its back up to 200 again.
Hell, the best idea would be to leave the kits at 20 calls a piece, but have the limit on the vehicle be something like 1000 calls. Then these would sell like hootcakes. Id buy a few crates and just drop them into each vehicle i had, andi would do that every month or two when they started to get low.
of corse, that would take actual work, whereas adding a 0 to the end of some variable in a database is a lot easier.

Hey, those are good ideas!
Hopefully the devs will see them and consider adding them in.

maybe, ive mentioned this in several different forums in much more prominent threads.
The same thing should apply to clothing as well, and furniture dye kits, etc.
I mean seriously, personalization is a HUGE cash cow in real life, it's a good oppertunity to give crafters and players alike some very well received options.
There could even be experimentation on them, the higher they get the more charges each one is worth, etc.

We have been promised a revamp after JTL and combat revamp. It is my hope that more colors and such would be part of the overall Artisan revamp. Including, but not limited to, powerups and vehicles being revamped as well.

I would have prefered a time limit instead of a call limit too, also it would be nice to see more variation in colours brought in, possibly even some really bright colours.
Guess my paint kits on my vendors will be selling faster with this tho, too many people seem to drive around in non-painted speeders and it looks so boring now that im used to having mine coloured permanatly.
