I am such an idiot. I just got my mining business up off the ground about a week ago. I decided tonight was the night that I was going to start crafting my first batch of swoops. I spent forever looking for that perfect spot to drop my harvs for some high SR materials. I was so excited because tonight was going to be the loss of my 'crafting for money virginity.' So, I go to my first harvestor to retrieve the items from the hopper and I hit 'Empty harvestor' thinking that was how you get things from the hopper. Instinctively I hit the enter key right when the "Are you sure you want to destroy all items in the hopper" warning window came up. So POOOOOOF! There went all the non-ferrous metal I needed to start crafting my first bikes.
I feel like such a ding dong. I'm not sure what the hell I'm gonna do. I'm pretty tapped out on money right now. I had planned down to my last credit to get this business up and running and with the click of a button everything went to hell in a hand basket.
I know this doesn't sound like a very big deal to most of you master crafters, but I'm still a total n00b when it comes to this stuff. This really threw a monkey wrench in my plans
What an idiot.
/sigh
Oh well, guess it's back to sqauare one

So far i have avoided doing that myself. But i do feel your pain on it. Its a shame the game doesnt give you a "Are you sure you want to destroy these materials" box.

Ouch that does suck. That's exactly what happened to me - I hit yes and immediately thought "Wait a second...did that just say 'Are you sure you want to destroy all the items?' NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Iremember when I got Master Artisan, I put down 2 extractors and left them up for a few days. I went back knowing that I'd be able to make 3 Speeders, my first three ever! I started crafting...............3 critical failures in a row! I was heart broken. I had no money to buy extra materials, or power and I almost gave up.
Another time I placed 2 Speeders on my first vendor. I wanted to change the vendor so removed them from sale.........forgot to recover them.....deleted the vendor then realised what I'd done. I wrote a ticket explaining what I'd done and asking if there was any way to recover them. A CSR replied and credited me with two speeders! I've never complained about CSRs since.
