I just looted a +25 artisan experimentation tape off an elder. With a human artisan i could have +40 extra, or 14 experimentation points. The tape also has a +24 Fire resist (curse you devs). Do i use the tape for my crafter, or save it for a rainy day when the devs do somethingto allowus to choose what skill we get off of tapes(if that ever happens).

Honestly i wish it did..

But seeing there are only3 aritsan experiments that mean anything, Bone armor, cdefs, and food, its really not

Chefs can make there low end food with out a bio ingrediant, make um better and for lots cheaper,, as bio ingrediant are way to expensive to use in artisan food for what you get,, unless you can make um yourself. There are only 4 foods chefs cant make,

jawa beer, a rare seller but it will let the beer last another 2 mins maybe 3..,or reduce filling a couple points, Basically its used by bio's collecting DNA.

Jaar, i dont think ive ever sold this one its a wookie roar and the extra points only will drop fill slightly or if lucky give you an extra use,, soo from 15 to 16, I have never made it and never been asked, and i dought anyone would use it as brandy is the main drink of choice for any combat class.

Dust crepe that one is probly the best chance of selling but the extra points will only drop the filling a couple of points say from 24 to 22..and thats pushing it,, its only a 3 or 4 use food anyway soo thats not enough pionts to get extra.

and last travel biscuts,, +15 or soo to terrain neg but everyone uses vehicles anyway and you have to have novice scout for it to work anyway. And once you have explore 2 about the only difference you will notice is in riflecrawl,... and most people that crawl are rangers/hunters and would have master scout soo they would be eating other stuff anyway.. if this food worked with out novice scout it could be a great seller.

For the armor its only bone armor, and the base resist is useless to experiment on and even with 1k tough/decay stuff you will get max maybe an extra 1k durra and thats a stretch.. Though i guess if you made GEO bone it would be nice but still even that you are going from 9.5 or 10 to 11k durra,, 1k aint crap.

Every other artisan thing can be maxed in one line, well cdefs too, i guess it might get you a couple points bonus in dura, or aim but the amount is negligable.. and anyone using a cdef wont fight much anyway soo a 850 furra vs a 950 wont make a bit of difference and the + a few aim points well just eat aim food like citrus snow or crispic.

Soo bascially its a useless tape in reality. Save it, maybe they will change it soo exp with extra points will make a bigger differnce or possibly they will add more ways of experimenting to vehicles,, or just give it to an artisan buddy. Then they can brag that they are +14 but baggin is about all its good for.. to bad too thats could have been a sweet tape.. that being said i would use it,, just to make slightly better jawa beer.. but as for a paying for it,, naa ill just let um drink another sip 2 mins earlier,,

You don't need novice scout for terrain negotiation. I don't have it with my wookie main and I use biscuits all the time

Please drop any auction winnings at my vendor on Corellia. It is Abilof Weapons at -1803 2347 just east of the Kor Vella starport or the Fort Qui shuttleport.

Plus crawl speed only goes up once you are into the ranger portion.

I could see +14 being good for power-up creation

Power ups are maxed at 10 experimentation points. If you get a minor success or a fail on it, you just drop the schem and try again. Terrain Negotiation DOES work with travel biscits. I use them on dath all the time. You do not need to have novice scout.

Thanks for the comments folks. I appreciate your info.

the way i've seen it, those "minor" or "failed" success are what gives the power ups the abliity to get 3, 4 and even 5 modifiers. So by having 14 experimentation points, you can really get some uber powerups

You forgot exo protein. I can get 4 filling, 7 uses, 25% reduction for 16+ attacks. I sell tons of it.

Please explain. I didn't know that the experimentation worked that way. This might just make it worth while if what you are saying is true.

I didnt forget Exo protein i left it out cuase chefs can make synth steak and make it much better than Exo.. they can just manipulate the stats to go along with the Exo and make it better.

Travel biscuts though thank you for telling me bout this,, i have 10 crates of light add's left over from making chef food, jawa beer, and dust crepe,, hmm me thinks ill be making some biscuts.. when im done with the food ill start a new threed and compare chef and aritsan foods that i have just made K : )

The best explaination i can give you, is to say go try it out.

when experimenting, do 1, or 2 boxes at a time. Be prepared to do it for while.. i usually give it 30 mins or an hour, and craft a hundred or two powerups (well, most getcancelled after the experimentationphase). Out of that can get some good schematics, and hopefully a couple4 or 5 modifier schematics.

There's some random factors in the creation of powerups, that you will only see rarely.
