Thread: 14 experimentation points worth it?
At 4 filling, synth steak can't compete with exo pro. You take it and it's gone before you can pull up your stat modifier window (well, not quite, but you get my drift).

I didnt forget Exo protein i left it out cuase chefs can make synth steak and make it much better than Exo.. they can just manipulate the stats to go along with the Exo and make it better.

+25 is only from SEA's. You can get +200 accuracy from your class, +25 from SEA's, +40 from snowcake and they all stack. Squad leaders are another source of pluses that can Docs are getting their amazing 2500 buffs because they have +25 clothing, +25 Havla giving them +150 to their wound treatment.
Of course i have not personaly tested Artisan experimentation. All i know is that the +25 rule only applies to SEA's.Since the +15 experimentation is a racial bonus, i do not believe that it will be effected by the +25 cap.
Artisan experimentation definitively and absolutely caps at 12 - from having skills of 125. Anything you add after that will not add points to experimentation and will only affect your chance of an amazing success etc. As for the doc bonus - I've seen as many docs argue they get the great buffs with +25 as they do with +50 etc.
I know for a fact I have seen a dev post way back that stated everything over 125 was wasted no matter how high you got it. I don't recall anything from them that changes that. Not saying there isn't - and I'd be glad to see a post or thread that showed me otherwise since I'd hate to be laboring under a false assumption!

Yes, human master artisans can have 14 experimentation points. How do I know this? Because I'm a human master artisan and I've worn a +25 artisan experimentation suit before. I would post screen shots if I had them, but at the time I didn't realize that this fact was in debate, I just assumed it was common knowledge. Guess that shows you what happens when you assume.
If anyone wants proof that human MAs can have 14 experimentation points, follow the very first sticky at the top of this forum that says "Useful Artisan Postings, FAQs, and Guides. Newbies Start Here!"Follow that sticky, towards the bottom of thelist of links on that page you'll see a link that says, "Human Artisans can get 14 Experimentation Points." That thread was placed there by our artisan correspondent, Guruweaver. For those of you who don't know him, Guruweaver would not lead you astray.
thanks for the info. So did you find any uses for 14 points?
FYI: Buff pack D: 900 power, 110 med droid, 100 Wound treatment from Master Doc, +25 from Med clothing, +25 from Havla (150 Wound treatment)
900 x 2.5 (Buff power + Buff power x Wound treatment) x 1.1 = 2475
Some skills can go over 125. In fact i believe that the list of skills that can go over 125 is longer than the list that can't. I think the only skills that are limited to 125 are Melee Def, Ranged Def, Dodge, Counter Attack, Block.
Speed is capped at 100, so you wouldn't notice any difference at 125 vs 150.Also, in pvp, it seemsthat there is a 5% chance of inflicting a state regardless of what the targets defence is.Poison resist packs can get up into the low 200's, which is important if you are fighting potencies at 150-200. Intimidate and Warcry cannot get above 45 each because there is just no other way of getting points. Accuracy can get into thelow 300's (TKM with +250 accuracy, +25 SEA's, +40 Snowcake).
Def vs. States seem to be a % chance of resisting the state. So when you make yourUltimate Defence vs. Knockdown Template with +170 Knockdown from skills and +25 from SEA's you would still get knocked down 5% of the time, even though your defence is almost 200. If you were really fanatical about it, you could take some food and get to 300 Knockdown defence, and still go down 5% of the time.
The moral of the story is that +25 applies to SEA's. Since crafter experimentation conveniently is 100 at master and you only can get +25 more from tapes, along with the5 abilitiesthat arecapped at 125, everyone assumes that all skills are capped at 125. If you ever need a good laugh, look up the feature the devs put out about SEA's. What a worthless piece of crap that was. They didn't explain anything. Nothing about getting lower mods to stick, nothing about not being able to stack the same ability in the same piece of clothing, ugg, i don't think it did anything more than show a picture of a Tape and an AA. They probably had a board intern write it while they argued over how to split our $15 per month.
