Does anyone have a good Macro for Sampling? I have one that works but it will only do it one time. I dont want to have to rewrite it200 times just to get it to run all day. Copying and Pasting doesn't work either. I also tried naming the Macro "D" and then making a new Macro that did /D a bunch of time but that also didn't work. Has anyone found a way to sample non-stop?

It's all over the boards. Do a search on macro sampling or alias sampling.

Anyone found a way around this latest problem?

When you sample every so often a box pops up saying something stupid and you can go find a "higher" concentrated sample for more action points. The problem is, if you just sample regularly 2x you get more than using their more action points sample. Also this stops the sampling and you have to start again so if anyone knows a command to close the current open windows, please share

You just stop sampling when the window comes up, put it in the corner and start up the macro ( I think ).

Right but the problem is that you can have more than one window. If i hadn't been slaying, I macroed from 7am to 6:30 pm today. I calculated that I would have anywhere from 15-20 windows open.

Basically those windows stop you from sampling. So here is my macro:

/kneel;/sample;/pause 5;/sit;/pause 30

I just repeat that 15 times in my alias, and fill the macro box full of /mine1;/pause xxx

All they have to do to stop this is to increase teh delay between starting sampling or make it so if you have the window up say "You are already sampling".

Crappy programmers provide crappy solutions. That is how you always get around what they are trying to do.

Problem: Server load.

Solution: Stop macroing, Cripple house limits.

They need to think their solutions through before putting them into action. Like perhaps they need another server just as a datahouse for items. It may make things a hair slower no players will notice since their connections to the server don't come close to a GB internal network.

As for server load, simple kick people that are afk for over an hour. Piece of cake. Don't try to limit every possible way of macroing, just kick them.

and why prevent macroing if they put the feature in for that exact purpose??

I agree that macroing is a pain, but I have figured out how to get it to work after the patch. It just requires me to be in the corner in a city or I'll die wandering around the ground macroing.. My only question is:

Does anyone know a hard coded command to close the current window? It sounded like you figured it out, but did you get the command or just make a macro around it?

Something like /closeCurrent or some such command would help me immensely. Not just for that macro, but for closing a crafting station after a crit, that would be wonderful!

You know, eventually those of you who are in denial will figure out that they did this for a reason. They did this because the EULA specifically forbids unattended macros. Which means that all of your attempts to find a way around this, for the second time, amount to an attempt to find another bug toexploit.

Knock it off and get a harvester or two like the rest of us. And if you can't figure out how to make money with harvesters, you're too dumb to be a crafter.

Exactly my point. You dont make a stupid window pop up while sampling to fix this, you disconnect people that are away for over a certain amount of time. Making the window pop up affects you when your attending your macro as well. So they put it up to stop ALL macroing, not just unattended.
