Thread: Vehicle customization kits pricing.
For some reason I can't seem to get past 5 charges, do I need higher quality droid components?
Not many colours either, is this dependant on a skill suck as tailoring?

You need copper with oq and cond at 900+. I make the kit using this stat to have 9 charges per tool kit.
ah, that explains it, I just threw some high OQ steel at it, think the CON was around the 500 mark...
nice one (must pay more attention to schematics) ![]()
You know this issue has been bothering me. From a cost and time and hassle point of view, these kits should be priced from 4K to6K in my opinion. However, from a value add point of view from our customers, they probably aren't worth much more than 3K per 9 charge tool. Most people want them for much less. I don't blame them... each vehicle takes two charges to paint, and the paint wears off after 20 calls. With autostoring still happening, it can wear off immediately with the autostore.
I'm not saying that the schematic requirements should necessarily be lowered, but the customer should get more value out of the kits for sure. The paint jobs need to last a bit longer.
I won't go through the hassle of doing three factory runs to make these to sell them for 3K or under. The fact is that powerups can sell forthe sameper crate and use less resources and fewer factory runs. On top of that, the customers see the value of the powerups being in line with their prices, and so do the artisans for the most part.
The 20 call lifespan needs to be rethought... for these and for droid customization tools.

Im selling them for 3K for 8 charges. And I even think thats overpriced, because my actual cost per unit is 265c.
