NO one who cant put 60 or 70 K in a vehicle will be able to keep up with maintenance and repair.
i used my SWOOP for like a few hours and had 2,9K repair.
Its HIgher to maintain than a med house.
People who sell for 20 or 30K are just foolers. THe guy think 'wao its cheap', and will have to drop his bike after 4 days because of repair costs.
Vehicles are a
HIGH QUALITY GOODS in this game. I visited 60% of Naboo in like some mins, what would have been IMPOSSIBLE before.
Vehicles add A LOT more.
Is every new player supposed to have a vehicle ? its another question, i wont answer.
Im not selling vehicles for 40, 30 or 20K they dont worth this at all.

The vehicle which requires the most resources is the swoop bike. It is the fastest too and is the most expensive to maintain. It costs in total 8000 metal to make (1600 copper+ 6400 steel).The normal bazaar price rangeis around3 cpu for metals. Thats 8000x3= 24K credits. Top that with a little profit for the crafter and that makes 30K credits sales price. Crafters who harvest themselves, harvest steel and copper for less then 1 cpu. AND MOST DO, so they make much larger profit a bike. Probably 15K credits.
So charging anything much above 30K for a speeder is just plain thievery. With the exception of maximum experimented bikes with above 70% durability. They need more expensive metals so can cost a little more.
Get over yourself dude, 90K for a swoop is ripping people of big time. And on the maintenance part, a bike enables you to do missions MUCH faster, so gets you money to maintain the bike very easy. Everyone can maintain a bike by just doing survey missions with the bike.

the thing that got me was peeps standing next to me, shout prices just a little cheaper than mine. Thats cool and all adds to the competition and all, but when im selling +85 condition bikes with about 2400k of ham and this other guys bike comes out and it has a 1800 HAM, thats bs. Stuff like that is just going to discredit those of us tryin to sell nice quality stuff. I wish the Devs had made it so you could see the HAM and other pertinent stats on teh deed, like they made for housing deeds.

sorry forgot to add a closing statement, that way the customers can see what their buying before they buy it. It would cut down on people coming up to you and asking if youll take his bike in trade/with some added credits for a better bike. Also I think it would be great if we could adverstise a logo or name on the bike, so when Joe Blow is haulin through Theed, and you look at teh bike and see some decent stats, they know to goto that MA to get their next vehicle.

I started to write what % the vehicle was crafted with, people tend to understand that a high % is better then a low one. That have added a large group of costumers to my list.
Incorrect. Common metal goes for 3 cpu. High quality/demand metal runs closer to 6. 8000x6=48k credits.

I made some +80%-90% vehicles... I fixed the price at Landspeeder 25K, Speeder Bike 30K and Swoop 40K. Some other 'junk-selling' MA nearby just had to wait until I sold everything because all players wanted High quality ones instead just crap.... even when the same 'junk' dealers start making 5K cuts to prices...
But I don't think charge so much as 60/80/90K is just intelligent.

My first vehicles I made were 96% - 97% and I was selling them just to the people that preordered my vehicles. I'm riding on a swoop with a 2413 HAM. I might start using grinding metal for my personal bikes and just destroy them when they get too low on HAM to use (cheaper than repairs). When the market calms down a bit I'm going to reprice mine using a formula that takes the durability % into account.

My prices will be determined by 2 factors, guild members and experimentation.
Guild members have the following prices
X34 20k
Speeder 25k
Swoop 30k
As for non guild members...

I purchase all my metals at 2.5 cpu before the patch. Most grinding metals have good SR because it has crapp other stats..
I sold a few for 50, 60 and 70k. I educate ALL my customers, I also let people bring me resources and I would make for free or take a tip.
Now that i realized everyone is selling alot lower I have settled on 40 and 45k. I had good materials, I experiment, I educate and inform all my customers and sometimes that is worth its weight in gold.
I agree with the person who was saying we should charge more for them so peeople realize they are expsneive and pricey to maintane. I was just hoping to make some extra on day one just like CH's did (but no i was not charging 100K). I figured prices would flux as people ran outa resources etc.. If i sold them for less then 40k then i would see no point in selling them at all, I could make more on droids.
I think 40k is a fair price for one.
