Thread: WAR declared against LOW PRICES makers&foolers
Actually, I was pleased to seethat most of the people sellling last night around starports last night were all selling at around the same price, 25k-30K, 35K-40, and 40K-50K. I did see one guy selling swoops for 90K, and one selling landspeeders for 13k, but the major majority were on target with pricing.
I would actually call yesterday a success and a credit to Master Artisans for offering a fair price to customers, while still making a decent profit.
On another subject it does suck the customer cannot see the stats on the deed. I didnt at first, but started to write the exp % in the description. Also the only way you can see stats is to hover over the ham when its targeted. Which means the vehicle would have to be generated already.
I did get my vehicles in the 80%-95% range which was nice, in the future may charge 1-2c per resource more for +90% vehicles. Eventually the customers will realize the higher Hams will cut down on the trips to the garage, and when the do they wont mind paying more.

What everyone is forgetting is that most crafters mine their resources themselves!
And that way most resourcest cost an amazing1 CPU or usually less to aquire. (to bad swgcraft.com is down, their you could calculate).
I am a master Artisan my self and run a quite efficient mining operation. BER10medium mineral harvesters get you a lot of resources fast!
So when I sell my swoop bikes for 30K they are +70% experimented (2200 HAM)using average materials. They resource cost I have to make the bikes are thus a whole 8000x 1 cpu = 8K credits, so selling at 30K, I make 22K profit a swoop. Talking about exploiting.
The only problem is you get to rich, to fast, and cant keep up with the demand.
So please stop fooling everyone and telling them vehicles should cost more. It is just most crafters and miners want to make at least 300% procent profit on everything. That way they get rich easy and dont need to work for their money anymore.
Butbe real, why keep crafting and running a shop when you have more money then you can spend. Closed down my weapon store some time agoo.

This is what irks me. I didn't have the resources to sell on the first day. I made two vehicles, a non-swoop speederbike and an x34. I went out and sampled before I put my harvesters down so I knew I was going to get 990+ SR metals. I experimented as much as I could on all vehicles made.
Nobody would buy even one vehicle off of me. I blame the devs partially for releasing vehicles with the most annoying bug I have ever seen, but I also blame the people who were throwing any cruddy steel and copper they could get their hands on into the vehicle and overcharging people...Yes, overcharging.
I understand someone selling 2800-3000 HAM vehicles for a hefty sum, but these crud vehicles sold for 40k aren't even worth 40k.
I've been riding my vehicles around and haven't even lost 50 health yet.
So, here is my decision. I will trade the customer the vehicle before he pays for it, so he can see that the HAM is good. Then he can pay me.
**edit** you scammers for interfering in my honest business.
I waited 24h to lower prices, now i dont have choice.
Pagan,
Can you twist your logic a bit more please? Good resources sell for 2-3 times the 3cpu price you've stated and 10cpu or more if one has a bit of patience!
You also didn't factor in the time it takes to sell the vehicles. I don't know about you, but my time is valuable and if I have to stand around selling and competing for sales I'm going to charge for it. You act as if the resources just come out of the ground and magically appear in the buyers inventory with the credits in my account. Time is money, and my time costs money. I don't mind hearing an argument for low pricing but at least make one that is valid and makes sense next time. Regards.
I bought my resources (the ones that werent given to me) for 2cpu. The shock resists on my metal i use in my vehicles are over 900 (except for some copper i used which was 800+). I sell at 4cpu.
My vehicles were made in factories with schematics that were experimented on until i had spent all points (had to try 3 times on the swoop). I sell swoops at 32k and the other 2 vehicles are cheaper.
Im sorry your resources cost you too much. Sorry you werent able to broker a deal for high quality steal and not get robbed.
Youre implying that because my vehicles are cheaper, they must be inferior to yours, this is a bad assumption to make.
My prices were just about dead on to what most other poeple on lowca were selling for. People in this board kept bringing up supply and demand, and that "people will pay what they have to". They forgot the fact that in the world of business there is someone out there making the same quality for less and still making money off it. If you were trying to sell a swoop for 90k next to me in Theed, chances are you didnt do too well.
making 800 or 900 K on vehicles the first 2 or 3 days dont really help me much at all, and isnt something very great, that is what im making usually when i load my factories.
People seems happy cuz they made 1 Mil. They should learn to use their Artisan skills instead.
NOw, making like 4 mils or more would have been a lil more clever. I could have used extra cash, dont worry.
dont know about other servers , but Eclipse has had a string of excellent metals popping recently, along with phrik alluminium.
the resources to make excellent vehicles are plentifull and there fore at low cost even if you have to buy them. i didnt bother jumping on the wagon to make bucks as a cash poor guildie had allready said he would be doing vehicles..ones i did get asked for swoops mainly went for 45k and at that i thought i was being a little greedy..94% vehicles in the main..anything more than 1 crit fail in the experimentaion and they sometimes got given away.
