Anyone can use them. However only a Wookiee is certified to use it. So your Human could fire it but it would be without a certification and your damage would be horrible. Not that the damage on them is that good anyways. A laser rifle is usually better than the bowcaster.

its a rifle so wrong forum.... but only wookie weaponsmiths can craft them, so good luck finding one of them

Actually, any wookiee can craft one, if they've got the right resources and components. It's just that they don't get any of the amorsmith bonuses, and so they turn out horrible. But even the good ones kinda suck.

Only wookiees can make them and use them. It uses rifle specials, but since it has no armor piercing, most people use it for looks only.
If I were a dev, I would have upgraded it to have damage/AP similar to laser rifle. Would give wookiees a reason to use it.

Actually they great for new Wookie's doin rifles in the marksman tree, untill they can use laser rifle.
And yep they should give them ap 1 or 2 to make them attractive to more advanced wookie players.

I'm a Wookie rifleman (not a weaponsmith, sorry) who is curious. I've seen an acute lack of bowcasters, so am unable to do a comparison. I know it's not an "uber" weapon, but I use one because I like the look.
Have any of you made any of these? If so, what kind of stats are you getting.

I keep some on my vendor on Sunrunner, but you would probably have better luck finding one by posting on your server's trade forums

Tried the trade channel, just curious what kind of stats I should look for really, shoulda been clearer on that at first. Sorry all. 
Don't wanna grab the first decent offer on trade channel just to find out I could have gotten something with about +200 more damage or 2.0 speed.

- 33/33/45 ham
here is a excert from a advertising post i did, the stats would go up by 2 to 6 points as there was a uber spawn of copper on corb. so id guess my mark4 casters would be around 5.3 speed and 297 maybe 303 dmg. also that is a low ham scope so if made one high ham high accuracy itd be more like +70 to hit on mid range.

Okay. I am at work right now, so this is from memory and since I am an old man my memory isn't that great, but here goes. I think they are around 160ish-290ish damage and 5 second speed for the standard ones. Of course, spider fangs andkrayt tissue can change that drastically Again, you may try checking your server forums and asking for a wookie weaponsmith there, because they may have better (or worse) resources for making these than I do on sunrunner.
