The real trick is finding a good one. You'll also have the schematic, or maybe at novice artisan, but it's difficult to find a Wookiee master weaponsmith.

It also is counted as a rifle so it only uses the rifle specials. Unfortunately I have never seen a very good one though I have 2 of them just because as a Wookiee I like to walk around with it.

I think this char is going to be a crafter only so it'll be nice to have some kind of defense while I'm running around checking harvs hehe.

I just started a wookiee char and would like to have a bowcaster. What skills do I need to use it? It's listed in my certs, but I just want to make sure I can indeed use it.

I remember seeing a very nice exceptional Bowcaster looted from the Corvette. On most of the Bowcasters I've seen, the stats are a lot better than most low-level rifles, and are really good for grinding Marksman (if you're a Wookiee, of course.)

Ask around on your server for a good weaponsmith wookiee.... there are usually one or two. Bowcasters can be pretty good when well made and are good for wookiees to level Rifles

Yah, wookiees get a rifle advantage cuase the grind is so easy with an uber bowcaster to start off with

i had a crafted bowcaster that was 561 with pu and 5.0 ish speed. good for pve i guess

It's a rifleman skill if I recall. I've never seen it used much though, but they look cool.
