Excuse me? I can understand if they canned you for using a 3rd party hack, but running a macro while AFK? Every Entertainer I know uses an all-night macro to practice Dance or Music while they sleep. It is IN THE GAME, is NOT a hack, and I have seen NO PLACE in the TOS where it says you can't do that!

ok im having some trouble with this macro... when i start it it runs fine... i sample for the 10 min till my action runs out and then i sit down... and thats it... i never get back up again... i have the following for my macro text with the macro in the shift-f12 slot

/stand;

/survey;

/pause 600;

/sit;

/pause 150;

/ui action toolbarslot23;

what am i doing wrong?

and just to add something to the discussion here... i dont do this afk but if soe put it there then they shouldnt be surprised when someone finds a way to exploit it...and i dont recall who said it but i know about 60 entertainers on wanderhome that do this and go to sleep... they announce that they are going to sleep.... and no matter what cantina you go into at any time of day or night there will be at least 3 afk performers... at least... so before anyone goes all high and mighty on us poor crafters at least take some potshots at the others who use it...

Vis a vis "nerfed" macro sampling. The simplest answer is "yes and no". The old standby macros (sample for 10 minutes, sit for 5 minutes, stand, repeat) get clobbered by the popups and stall until they loop around again.

Worse yet are those people who start in a kneeling position and so just sample, wait 15 minute & repeat, or whose Action is high enough that they can sample forever and so don't use a macro at all. Since those people never have a position change, they stall on the first pop-up and never start up again.

Those are the "no's". Now for the "yes" part of the answer. While stopping & restarting sampling won't clear the pop-up, the new sampling will take place ignoring the one left from the prior sampling session. What that means is the "most efficient" macro in light of the pop-ups is one in which you start sampling, wait just long enough to get that first sample, stop sampling, wait until you can sample again, and then repeat the process.

Specific structure of the macro is left as an exercise for those who don't see anything wrong with it. However, it was left out of this post in consideration for the views of those who feel it is a violation of the EULA, is cheating, is amoral, and similar views.

actually as far as the popups there is a much simpler solution than what has been mentioned...

a weight...

if you were to press enter without clicking one of the choices it clears the popup... simply place a weight on your enter key and you can once again sample endlessly... if your macro works that is
