Thread: Artisan FAQ 10/05/03
From the radial menu there is a vendor control option, which has the initialize option.
If you're still having trouble w/ initialization after this, visit the merchant forum, they have a sticky thread about this problem.

/sit;
/pause (some length of time to rest);
/stand;
and...
Q: What (if anything) does Experimental Effectiveness on surveying tools affect?
A: Fewer critical failures. (The devs have told us so, but it might be bugged)
Q: Why do crafting tools decay? Why do they cost more to insure? Why don't they have condition?
A: I don't know. I ask the devs the same questions.
Q: How do you know an item has decayed?
A: Look at it's overall condition. (except crafting tools, good catch I'll post this grief tactic to the devs)
Q: Can crafting tools' decay be repaired?
A: Not at this time.
Here's a great thread on resources:

Stymnus: have you experienced crafting tools breaking?
A minor question.
Why do I get different colored words when I craft an item? For instance, say I crafteda left bracer sometimes it will sayleft bracerin yellow and sometimes in white. Does this mean anything?
To respond to a previous question about how to find the specific draft schematic number when using the /selectDraftSchematic ## macro function, this is what I've found out.
Using your Datapad (Ctrl-D), go to the Draft Schematics tab, and click on Change View to change the schematics into a list (as opposed to icons). Be careful not to re-order the resulting list at all.
Now, when you click on each schematic, it'll tell you what tool it needs for you to be able to craft it. The very first schematic for each tool, is schematic # 00. So, for example, if "a Slitherhorn" shows up first on the list, it will be schematic #00 for the Generic Crafting Tool.
To find out the number you need, count down the list of schematics, paying careful attention not to count those which you can't make with the crafting tool you'll be using for your macro.
So, basically, if you're macroing with a Generic Crafting Tool, start counting from #00 at the very first schematic that uses that tool (which will probably be the first on the list), and SKIP any that DON'T use the Generic Crafting Tool.
I hope this made sense.
If it's white, well, you made something!
Looks great.
Hopefully someone can help me out. Just made Master Artisian today. Says I need an specialized tool to build vehicles. Where dod I get that? Can I build it?
Also, you might have to be standing near a Weapon, Droid and General crafting station to make the vehicle, I can't remember. (If the vehicle still isn't showing up in your tool, then this would be the reason.)
