To be fair, the correspondents can only tell you what the dev's tell them and tell the dev's what we tell the corr.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Hm, I might have sounded like I was attacking Owen, but I wasn't.

Ah well, that's the way the American Language goes. It's not English anymore, 'cause there's multiple definitions and personal interpretations of a word that can interfere with communication. Also, the order in which they are displayed, and the lack of vocal inflections in a written form (which I lack in a vocal form as well.)

My bad.

I believe one of the coorespondants stated they have it already ready to go and it should be in one of the next patches.

Hi,

Ranger passing through here. I was just wondering if any of you have tried using Camo Kits since Publish 17. If you have, have they been of any use?

Thanks.

It is my understanding that all profs can use the camo kits made by rangers now at long last, I would be interested to know if they work at all.

Well, I have 1 data point to share.

Since my alt is a crafter, big Level 1, and my main is a Rifleman/Ranger, it is easy for me to toss a camo kit on my crafter.

Camo kit in place. I am shopping on Corellia. I crest a hill and stop to check my wp's. BOOM! Corellian Butterfly knocks me off my bike with attack #1. Corellian Butterfly incaps me with attack #2.

1) not sure the camo kit was working for me there....although this is only 1 data point

2) imagine the embarassment having to tell my buddies in the locker-room I was incapped by a butterfly!!!

I have a Master artisan with some novice marksman mixed in, level 11.

I've used them several times on tat, and they seem to work just fine

for me.

I had mask scent but dropped that line of scout,

and the camo kits actually seem to work better.

Ok unless I've missed something in the CU changes...

Camo vs. the Creatures level (always did just had to be a Ranger to see what level the critter was), and takes into acount your Camo mod. So... the higher level the beasty the better chance its going to break your camo, and if your not a Ranger your Camo mod is 0. But... there is BE clothing that adds to your camo mod. With two items you can get the max bonus of 25.

If adding 25 to my 100 camo mod helps me I'm sure adding it to your mod of 0 will help even more.

Last I heard... and in my experience... sort of.

They will keep creatures off of you if you were to stand still in the area of the aggro creatures BUT I understand that caves also have triggers. So even if you have camo applied and you walk over a trigger you will still get aggro'd.
