they don't fight because of the buffs and armor issues. commandos suck so they are worthless in PvP right now. And anyone attacking is already buffed. the defendors would have to get a doc there asap and start buffing, then pray the attackers didn't already stake out the faction recruiter and the cloning station.
So, the biggest problem really for crafters is the combat update needs to happen, so when combat is evened out, then crafting will be a lot better, there will be more will combantants to take out raiders and critters.
Heck, right now i play crafters, commando, and a pistoleer. And i suck in trying to survive any type of mid-level to high end content. So, even i suck in trying to put down harvesters many times.
