You certainly have every right to attack my ideas and opinions but you most certainly do not have a right to make ad hominem attacks agains me.
If you not able to obey SOE forum rules you should just not post.
I have acepted Jendens postion and he has even accepted an amended postion of mine. Thats the purpose of discussion.

So you went to debating classes, and you think youknow about Ad Hominem, and I am glad for you.
As to SOE forum rules, it seems to me you post inflamatory remarks, denigrating an entireprofession, in that profession's own forum. Not only that but you then signally fail to back up your argument, going all wishy-washy about 'didn't do that one' and so on. You didn't even do your multi post, but instead passed the buck back to Jenden to provide a 'burden of proof' that your original assertion was false.
In short, you flamed an entire profession, then backed off at lightning speed, with waffle being your defensive smokescreen. In even shorter words, Trolling.
Now, I have no idea where you come from, nor do I care in the least and nor does it matter. I have said that your critical post of the DE profession was wrong, It was ill advised, and it has proved to be both. If you consider that to be an ad hominem attack so be it..your la-di-da use of college debating terms cut no ice with me, I was taught Latin at school for my sins
and for years and years..it still pains me to think of it. It seems to be fashionable in the US to use that language interspersed with US-Engish..I have no idea why. Every time I read 'Per-say' I cringe. Nomatter. I suspect you are a debater for debating's sake..but that doesn't matter either, nor where you were taught to be like that. Perhaps you are a MasterDebater..I know not.
Finally, we do not mince our words in the UK, and I believe my use of a slang term to describe your general attitude is correct both figuratively and literally. It's my belief, and I don't expect anyone else necessarily to share it. I do however have a right to it.
I now intend to move on to some other issue. I stand by my original assessment, Tosser (Tm UK) is the appropriate term. It is not contrary to forum rules, nor is critical posting in response to outright Trolling, which is in itself, of course, against the rules of the forum.
Leave it now, it's best don't you think? I said it before..stop digging please ![]()
