Well I imagine that if you went through the weaponsmith profession, you would have an easier time crafting the bowcaster. Plus as a weaponsmith you could create the components necessary for making one. I know a bowcaster required 3 identical blaster power-handlers from a factory crate in beta, so I assume that's still the case. In that case you'd need a crafting station and a factory and the resources. And you can make blaster power handlers once you reach novice weaponsmith.

JakLRudy got it right. and im about to make mine as well (im on the bloodfin server under ZergCow) but i need to know what planet i can get 70 units of Doonium Iron at. someone please help! it would be great to know where to get all the minerals for this thing (i bought the other minerals off of someone) if someone wants to post that info that would be great

anyone know where the Doonium and the steel are located that are necessary for the combine of the bowcaster?

I'm on another server so I don't know if this applies, but I do know that i got doonium iron to come up on my unit for a long tim while I was west of mos eisley. I had gathered 85 units by the time i left not giving a second though to the fact that I might not find it again. I even marked it on the map. That was a week ago. I have yet to find it at the WP I marked. I do know that it was high noon when i did firnd it and when i wnet back to find it. It was night time. So maybe that's a lead you can look into. the waypoint is west of Eisley a little less than halfway to anchorhead. Good luck because now I'm on a safari huint for the rest of the crap. The wrst part is that the material doesn't even show up on the tool for scanning when it's now around. I think they should haver an indicator saying when material availability in the tool has changed. We'd still have to look for it but not all of us have the time to sit around in a spot all day just WAITING for it to pop up.

resources are different on each server and it seems like there's a 1 in 4 (or less) chance of each of those appearing in any given resource reset.

Marrack and I (Foshizi) have been making them on Kauri for a while, if you're on that server send on of us a tell.

I found Doon Iron on Dantooine, bout 1k m below the mining outpost.

and Quad Steel I found on Naboo and Rori.

Stand next to the weapon crafting station and the schematic will come up even at lowest artisan skill levels.

I should have added that you must be using the Eng I weapon droid and item crafting tool.

to be self sufficant making a bow caster? you get the prints at start as wookie but the parts cant be made until Novice Weaponsmith but one needs a factory crate of parts so to make your factory get novice architect to make a factory that uses 14k parts. then you need quadranium steel and doonium iron and lots of it. Doonium is very rare and moves every time they patch the resources on my server I have found it twice. best of luck

I have made about 40 bowcasters if not more. The steel was in the last cycle on Naboo, and the iron is in this cycle on Corellia. This is on Gorath.
