i'm sorry not to get off topic, but i hardly think 3/4 of the community was opposed to the CU. of course most of the vocal people on the forums were opposed to it. but i'm fairly surethere are many more players in this gamewho never even registered for the forums, and who just take the CU as a change and don't think it's something to get worked up over.
i will say that over 3/4 of the community did probably want the combat system to change. and we got it, although certainly not everyone was happy with it.
i'm sure if there was a HUGE push for them to add Podracing into the game they would do it. just like playerJedi... all logical thought saysthey shouldn't be in the game, but SOE and LA saw theplayer desire and those $$$ and here we are.
and i definitely know that the addition ofPodracing would not be as detrimental to the player community as the addition of player Jedi.
so we'll see... although judging by the speech the Mayor of Mos Eisley gives, i'd say it's unlikely

This is EXACTLY what I would love to have. Have that and maybe even have Swoop/Speeder Bike racing using the same system. I know in the storyline, Pod racing has been banned...but dangit, I would love to do it anyway!
I've actually been considering trying to get some player races going anyway...even if the current in game speeders aren't as fast as I'd like.
