When speeders first came out, there were several weaponsmith schematics for vehicle guns but after several patches, the schematics disappeared.

i guess speeders have a droid brain, but i'd still rather craft a separate and specific "fuel cell" specifically for vehicles.
it's actually a main part of my "vehicle revamp" idea. which i'll do anything to get more people to read...

hehe i see. well if they can figure out how to code droid batteries, and how to code a vehicle condition bar, it shouldn't be toodifficult to impliment the same two ideas for a fuel bar.
seems simple enough to me... although i know nothing about coding.

Ya and then you could loot a special engine from the vette instead of a schem. or something.

If they do implement vehicle combat, what would be the reason to be a rifleman or pistoleer - one could just fly around and blast mission targets, lairs, and other vehicles all day long. Granted, there will be places you can't take a speeder, but the reality of the game world is, anyone has access to a vehicle can pilot it. Unless they bring out certifications....hmmmmm...

they'll most likely make it so it doesn't negate ranged professions.
maybe only allow them to be used in GCW PvP or something. and have them not be the all powerful killing machines.
my vehicle revamp proposal has a good way to prevent everyone from taking a combat vehicle to battle (other than making them rather expensive). simply reduce the amount, or types of things we can carry in our inventory, and allow us to keep our stuff in cargo holds and saddlebags on our vehicles/mounts.
if people had to store most of their belongings in their vehicle, then they wouldn't be as likely to risk their stuff being destroyed along with their vehicle in combat.

Aren't melee professions the ones who'd really have problems with vehicle-mounted ranged weapon users?
How do you hit somebody who's not only zooming around you, but probably also rooting you?

I'd say the restriction would be that fast moving vehicles would only be able to attack other vehicles, whereas slow ones like the AT-ST would be able to attack 'normal' targets.

good solution. vehicle to vehicle combat works. and it would be a lot of fun.
they'd need to make rebel and neutral slow moving vehicles too though.
