Thread: Focused Discussion: Artisan Wishlist
More lots! Perhaps just 2 more for a master artisan?
Being able to survey while riding a mount would be cool.
An email whena resource shifted from under your mine would be fantastic.
More schems for master artisan.
Put the electronic component options back into the repair tools schems. (And fix them so that they work as intended; optional components give a bonus)
I've been chasing the architect dream for a while but haven't been by to check the boards.
Having said that, what is with the no surveying rule on mounts!?! Is this not insane!?!
You can shoot and fight from a mount but you can't push a stupid button and read a video screen?
What is Master Artisan worth that I can't survey from a mount!?!
Implement this, and you (devs) will see a lot less whining about resources.
Oh, and it would be nice if the respawns coincided with a weekend instead of Tuesday night!
Unfortunate to say, but the whole artisan and architect trees are broken. Number one issue, lack of content.

I've had a couple of plans ever since I got back into this game, and I'm hoping that the devs will be nice enough to allow me the chance to fulfil those dreams. Currently, I'm just going to master Artisan just because I haven't really decided what I'm going to become an elite in just yet. Here are my plans for the future.
#1. Start my own vehicle dealership: "Dustrider Vehicles". Naturally, this means that I'm hoping that the devs will create a mechanic profession so I can build these things.
#2. When the expansion comes out, I really want to expand into the realm of starship design and construction. I've got my own little corperation planned out in my head already, so now all I need are partners to help bring my plans to life.
#3.Since we've got player cities, I wonder if there could be a way to create skyhooks and space stations when the expansion comes out, with various ways to customize them.
short term, I'd like my colored text back for my Crafted items please. I liked making the effort to distinguish my items from others. It added Creativity to this class we all Love. (and sometimes loath)
Thanx
After spending an insane tie last night, again, jumping on and off the mount to hit a freakin' button to survey; let me reiterate:
SURVEYING FROM MOUNTS!!!
Thanks you.

Cafa,
Don't mean to flame, but this is meant to be a wishlist, and surveying from mounts is already on this list
Yes, master Artisans need something aside from a bird cage that doesn't hold birds. However, are you saying that as a Master Bioengineer I shouldn't be able to tell what resources yield the best quality creatures?
My point was that this information is available to everyone. Everyone currently has the ability to take out a calculator and figure out which resource is better to use in any one slot. The proposed bar would be a client side thing only - just something to do the math on the resource qualities in-game.
Factory Queues: The ability to put in several schematics and the resources needed to complete them, and the factory just churns away until it can't do anything more.
Harvester Queues: The ability to set a "back up" resource to collect if the current one runs dry. Or to have the harvester auto-switch to the highest % resource. Nothing causes more off-line anxiety than worrying that your 90-credit-per-hour harvesters are idle.
Decorations: Objects low-level artisans can craft and rename (or colorize like clothes) to put in houses. Little statues, paintings, etc. The bird-cage is one example, but more would be quite fun.
Segfault, I suppose I do see your point. I'm with you there though. I often pull out my trusty old TI-83 and do the figuring myself.
I might be happy with a compromise though, I think you would be also. Instead of making it an ability, make it an item that MAs can make, and anyone can use. Although, unfortunately, I don't expect to see anything like it in the near future. That is the type of thing that gets put into a game in its old age, I fear. EverQuest didn't even get away to play exterior music in-game until Shadows of Luclin came out.
I have a feeling that we won't get conveniences until much longer down the road.
